ollie1903
A Welcome Sight This Morning Aberdeen manager Craig Brown is hoping Fraser Fyvie can save the Dons a small fortune this summer by precluding the need to buy a new midfielder. Fyvie, who was 18 on Sunday, is on the long road back from injury after rupturing a cruciate ligament in Aberdeen's League Cup third-round tie on Alloa's artificial pitch last August. The Scotland youth international still has some way to go. He has been able to return to some light training, but he is not scheduled to rejoin the Dons squad until pre- season. The midfielder was one of the few bright spots of last season and has been a miss this term. Brown, who arrived at Pittodrie last December, has witnessed very little of the playmaker, who last January became the youngest goalscorer in SPL history when he netted against Hearts at just 16 years and 10 months. tup
Sounds positive after the rumours he was to never play again on Mad. I think, unfortunately, these are more than just rumours, and his injury is extremely worrying in terms of his future prospects. Fingers crossed the loon makes it, it's the same injury that did for Kennedy and Wilkie amongst others. His age should hopefully in that respect as he's still growing. Link to comment

Obviously when you do something like, you're never going to comeback 100%. Which is a tremendous pity, as it means his talent will never be able to realise it's full potential. However, hopefully he can still comeback and become a top player for Aberdeen! Link to comment

tup
delighted. really looking forward to seeing him next season....gonna be a huge player for us Aye but we have to be careful not to heap the pressure on him, given the severity of his injury, not to mention his age. I'll be delighted if he just gets back to normal next season, gradually, no hurry, and then we can get the best of him the season after. If he hurries it, and the supporters get impatient, which disna take long, it could finish him. Link to comment
Jazzer_Bett
Great news. With the right amount of experience (i.e. more guys like Milsom) Pawlett, Fyvie, jack and hopefully Aluko will flourish. Link to comment
GK55
Great news....really hope he pulls through it. However, I fear for his future career after this injury. Link to comment
King Street Loon
Just been watching an interview with Simmie on Redtv and at the end of the piece he said that Fraser is back in training with the U-19's. And if they had more games arranged he might have gotten a run out with them. Great news to hear he's back training and hope he takes it carefully and not rush it. Worst thing he could do. Good luck loon. Link to comment

Good luck loon.Great news. Amazing how much we slumped when we lost him, might be more of a coincidence than anything else but it's amazing how well the boy keeps the ball and is able to make decent passes to feet (which I suppose is what you expect of a midfielder) especially for such a young guy. Hope he comes back more determined and better than ever. Link to comment

Continue the slow progress until the end of the season, continue light conditioning over the summer and let's hope he gets a solid pre-season under his belt. Good luck lad! Link to comment
StandFree1982
You know he's a decent player when even the Rangers fans were wishing him the best after his injury! There were the odd nugget that came out with the "karma for Durrant" comment, but they got ripped apart by other huns. Which I was very surprised to read. Most of them said they would love to have him in their side. Still hate the scum though! Yeah light training and a couple of sub appearances for the young team and hopefully he'll be back better than ever. Link to comment
StandFree1982
where did you hear this?Read it on Follow Follow or something like that back at the time. Think someone mentioned it here at some point. Link to comment
StandFree1982
very, very surprised by thatYup, me too. There were the usual arsehole comments about hoping he's out for ages cause of what happened to Durrant, but they were slated by others for being a dick. "Let's not lower ourselves to their level" i'm sure I read haha indeed. They would need to raise their level substancially to even come close to ours! Link to comment

Great news, it'll be great to see him come on before the end of the season and he'll get a tremendous reception. But at the same time, i want him wrapped up in cotton wool until the start of the season. I don't even want him using safety scissors. Link to comment

NorthernLights24
Read in the Evening yesterday there is a possibility he could feature in the Aberdeenshire Shield field on Wednesday. I'm sure he'll only feature if they are 100% sure he is ready for it. Link to comment

Pleasing to see that despite his injury he's still got his priorities straight and he's setting aside time for a poon-hunt, good lad. Link to comment

Should just have him training and get a good pre-season under his belt and fighting fit for next season. Good on you young Fraser Link to comment
