paddy
Can anyone explain why we are so unlucky with injuries? Is it to do with the fact we havent good adaquate training facilities? Link to comment
a don in oz
I can't see how it can be to do with training OR the physios. The injuries we're having a freak ones that just... happen. All the head clashes, and studs getting caught, and bad falls. They're not things that training or physios will stop. I think it's that Pittodrie is cursed so the sooner we're away from the dung heap the better. Maybe? Link to comment

Jazzer_Bett
CALM DOWN Its the EE at it again - Its a classic "through the pain barrier" piece, i.e. he will play in the Semi and then have the operation. Link to comment

K-9
are langfield and aluko seriously out of the semi?No - just the final according to above!! Link to comment
OddJob
aye so will Langfield, Smith, Diamond, McArdle, MacNamee, Aluko.... Maybe that explains why Vernon hasn't managed to finish most games recently. Link to comment
bobb4you
Diamond Wrong actually. There's no chance Diamond will miss the final. Link to comment
Jazzer_Bett
What is sensationalist about headline? Pretty much just sums up the truth The implication is he out because of surgery, whereas the truth is he isn't, but will be at some point. K9 I'm sorry for both of us I had to write the above min Anyway big Vern is a tough guy and I'm sure he'll give his best on Sunday-I did wonder why the gaffer was using him sparingly, wise move Link to comment

Tord31
EE reports today of 'triple injury boost' with a picture of Paul Hartley. Don't know if Vernon is one of these boosters? Guess would be McNamee and Diamond considering both only missed out on Saturday after fitness tests in the morning. Link to comment

Guess would be McNamee and Diamond considering both only missed out on Saturday after fitness tests in the morning.P&J says Brown resisted playing Hartley last night in game at Cove. Maybe feature on Wednesday? Said McArdle out but Diamond may make it for semi. And that wrapping Vernon in cotton wool ahead of Satuday. EE: ABERDEEN FC were today given a triple injury boost ahead of Sunday Link to comment
Tord31
I think it's a difficult one for who to play centre half on sunday. Defo want to play 4 at the back so not playing all three (Vuja, Diamond and Considine). Diamond and Considine (and Langfield also somewhat) have presided over three semi finals with four goals conceeded but Vuja has looked shaky a few times this year including against Celtic...so not sure on that one. Defo play our only two full backs assuming they are fit to complete at least an hour. Link to comment
K-9
Simple for me - don't want Vuja anywhere near starting line up. Link to comment

Tord31
Simple for me - don't want Vuja anywhere near starting line up. Even though you know Diamond and Considine are not only prone to bad games but actually bring out the worst in each other? Link to comment

Vuja looks a disaster 95% of the time. But i would actually get rid of all 4 centre halfs if i could. Link to comment

Well Vuja and Diamond will be gone in the summer for defo and Southend bid for Mcardle in january so you never know. Think your stuck with Considine though. Link to comment
Jute
its a case of picking the best of a bad bunch This. The pairing of Considine and Diamond is not great but its still better then playing Vuja. Link to comment
oilcat
I just hope that McNamee is fit ........main way to stop celtic is to stop Izzagurri bombing up and down the wing ....Yound at RB on Sunday fears me bigtime!! Link to comment
Jazzer_Bett
Aye Vuja has turned out to be a dud - had the look of a european classy defender, with the alice band hair and socks down the calves, but turns out he's just a pretty David Winnie. Shame.be funny if he turns up playing for Juventus or someting in a few years though-! I think all of the "unfit players" will be played even if they are unfit, its do or die time and Mr B and Knoxy will want to field the main men. Link to comment
