robbo
how is this man a professional footballer playing at the very elitist level. he is f**king sh*te! responsible for both bolton goals and even gave them a penalty. never see him have a good game. not 1 good thing about his game to make you think "thats why they play him" very much their jerel ifil Link to comment
minijc
Arsenal have clearly choked, time for Wenger to either move on or move up, if he moves up they could do alot worse than get in David Moyes as manager with Wenger taking a back seat. Link to comment
Dynamo
Would hardly say it's time for Wenger to move on. It's all about instant success these days. No trophy in 6 years? Yes, ok, but with a couple of good signings they could easy do the double next year, it's not as if it's 6 years without being in the hunt. A 25 goal a year striker as RVP is never going to last a season, a Patrick Viera and a Tony Adams. Link to comment

The tippy tappy appraoch from Wenger can only take you soo far, they have no real hard man in that team to rely on when the going gets tough, they constantly struggle againstt teams who like to get it up Arsenal as Arsenal don't like that, teams like Bolton (they can play abit now though) Stoke, B'ham, Blackburn and West Brom always get a result agains Arsenal as they stifle them and Wenger doesn't have a plan b. Dynamo
That's why they need to sign a couple Viera/Adams type players, so they will over come the physical battles. Link to comment

Iraq_Red
Arsenal need to start 'winning ugly', may be against Wenger's way on how football should be played but if it brings them some success in the short term, the fans would be happy. The also need to get a decent keeper Link to comment

Give them a 25 goal striker, Patrick Viera and Tony Adams and they wouldn't be far off. Sadly, it's not that easy to find three players of that calibur. As Arsene Wenger has found out. It also makes things difficult when you have a manager who subbornly refuses to spend any more - wearing it as some sort of badge of honour. He thinks he's so good that he doesn't need to spend any money. I just cannot abide the man. Arrogant beyond belief. Link to comment

Pash
Imo they need a tough tackling mink in the centre of the park. Someone like De Jong (not too minky), Van Bommel (very minky) or Gattuso (also very minky). Also a tall dominating centre back like Hangeland. They are linked with him a lot but nothing ever happens. Hangeland always says he is happy at Fulham so that is probably why, he doesn't sound very ambitious. Consistent EPL defender. Link to comment

They have that dutch guy thats injured as a centre half, they will probably bid for cahill from bolton in the summer, wegner will not buy a mink, not his style. Im amazed that there are no calls for his departure, can he continue with a trophyless seasons after season? Link to comment

They do miss him a lot come to think of it. Imo if he doesn't buy some older, wiser, experienced players in the summer and they do the same and bottle it next season he will be under a lot of pressure to go. If they had a tough tackling midfield general and a central defender that could defend set-pieces the title would have been theirs weeks ago. Link to comment

OddJob
I heard before that they were supposedly looking at the German CB Mertesacker. Would be a good signing for them to play alongside Vermaelen once he's fit again. Never mind Djourou what about Koscielny? I think he's just as root, in fact all their centre-halfs - with the exception of the Belgian - are plum. Link to comment

E-P-K
Arsenal would do well to get someone like Chiellini, but they would probably not pay the money required to get him due to his extended contract with Juventus Link to comment
