Obama to make an announcement shortly. Little late here though. Wonder if it'll hold till tomorrow. Don't know what to make of this, though. Bin Laden's real value to the United States lay with him remaining alive. Also be REAL interested to hear how the Republicans put a negative spin on this.... and they will. Link to comment

It was never a central organisation and Bin Laden was never the leader nor mastermind. He was a sort of financier that other terrorist groups went to to fund their operations. So, 10 years later, two wars, one illegal, thousands of innocents dead, trillions wasted, hundreds of rendition flights, torture, hundreds more innocently held in Guantanamo without charge or due process, the erosion of civil liberties and freedoms, but hey, Bin Laden's dead.
