Geoff_Tipps
Obviously we have had a nightmare season with injuries etc but even with a fit team we must have one of the poorest sides in the SPL, which is quite frankly embarrassing when you take into account the standard of the league. What worries me is the way players perform at Aberdeen. The minute anyone moves to us they seem to go backwards or just don't give the same passion as us fans would like to see. Take Blackman for example, bangs in the goals at Motherwell and then arrives at Pittodrie and he appears to be completely disinterested and lack quality. Granted Motherwell are a better team than us and obviously create better chances, but its quite alarming how poor players attitudes etc appear to be at Pittodrie. Obviously there are huge problems at Pittodrie at the moment mainly behind the scenes and the only way to help improve the attitudes is to bring performance related pay for the players. But our club is such a shambles this will never happen. Dwindling crowdslack of interestlack of talent lack of passion on and off the pitch All lead to relegation. I really think we will be heading that way next season unless Miller and Milne are forced out, even then is it to little to late? The sad thing is my passion for the club is dying along with thousands of other which I never thought would happen. Aberdeen as a club are going in one direction, and unfortunately its not the right way. Link to comment

Get a grip, the season has just about finished and we have people spreading doom and gloom.I'll be at the games next season following my team.Give Archie and Craig time over summer to get their players in and then come back this time next year, to see if you can justify what wrote above. robbo
this is part of the joy of football. we can have 15 bad years in succession, but as soon as it comes to the last 4 games of a season, we all mentally go on holiday and become convinced that "next year" will be different and as if by magic, well turn it around and become good. ...........and i wouldnt trade it for anything. roll on next season and the success that should inevitably follow it! So you pick one example of the last 5 to come in for your argument, Why not add Anderson cos he showed no interest either cos he hardly got a game & also McNamee cos he kept deliberately injuring himself so he didn't have to bother playing. What about Milsom, Smith & Vernon? Did they go backwards & show the same poor attitude? Agree with some of your points but not the attitude of the recent signings & especially Milsom & Vernon (who are the only ones that have signed FT for us) Link to comment

Why don't the moderators set up a completely separate subforum for the doom and gloom topics. Then the happy people would know not to go in there and be upset by anything. Link to comment

Dandyjam
Relegation is a very real possibility unless we get things right this summer. If Brown didn't come in when he did and we'd lost those games at Christmas instead of getting the wins then I dread to think where we'd be. Dunfermline will be better than Hamilton and at present we're no better than St Mirren. What a sh*te state of affairs. This is the key. All dependant on the budget, what players are retained from this season and who we get in. It is a distinct possibility we could be down near the bottom end, nothing to suggest we'll be challenging for a top 6 place which is the bare minimum. A huge summer lies ahead (again) this time for Brown and Knox and hopefully they can deliver. Link to comment
K-9
Fair enough . I wont be . We will not finish bottom 3 next season .Unless significant additions to what is our squad for next season so far i just don't see how that can be said with any conviction whatsoever. Of last nights 14 only 3 are at moment definitely going. The rest are either under contract or have been offered. Need lot of new faces but just not convinced Brown will be given tools to take in the amount of players that is badly needed. Link to comment
Ke1t
Relegation has been a repeated, and deserved, threat to the Aberdeen team on several occasions under Stewart Milne.... If anyone thinks we can't go down because 'We're Aberdeen', or for any other reason, they need a serious reality check. Unless there's investment, and I don't believe there will be, we will find ourselves grubbing around the lower reaches of the SPL next season too, and it doesn't matter who the manager is.
