Season Tickets Up In Price.........

...but only because of the VAT increase

Spoke to the club yesterday, they said that renewals are being sent out as we speak, the only rise in the price is to cover the VAT increase, as we are in the Merkland she quoted £227 and £92 for a consession (£220 and £90 last year)

Spot on RTYD, we have lost a generation of kids top the EPL and the OF because of the clubs pricing and the crazy decision to restrict merchandise, especially club shirts to the club shops. Also, once again the ST's are on sale very late, looking around the other SPL clubs, Hearts have been selling next season ST's since March!!

Well I think they can expect the same sort of respeonse as they got last season, even worse perhaps.

A radical ovehaul of pricing is required.

Kids in the Merkie for free if with an adult for a start. A package of tickets for consecutive games offering genuine discounts and an end to these "offers" to season ticket holders which are a complete joke. "Bring a buddy to the Buddies" for example.

Definately the best way, also not paying about

Don't suppose anyone knows for sure if the RDU is being closed for next season? Heard that was a possibility, but can't remember where.

There is absolutly no way it will be closed for league games. Why piss off 300+ season ticket holders when there are only two seasons left at pittodrie. Get real. Probably will be closed for small cup games as per this season though.

While I would prefer it to remain open, being a season ticket holder for years there, I could see why it could be closed for most league games, given crowd levels this year. Lower costs and potential for improved atmosphere with stadium more tightly packed could be viewed as more important than "pissing off" 300+ season ticket holders. (Which equates to what, 2 1/2 rows out of the RDU?)

Todays great revelation that we're going to be scouring Australia & New Zealand (ken those great footballing countries) for talent may be enough for me to change my mind on renewing.

FFS! Brown, is that supposed to inspire us, or get us on side?

Firstly, it is the evening.

Secondly, I think the relevance is more that he is searching a wide area. He isn't limiting to Scotland and the English lower divisions. It is also not to say there is the potential to unearth a talent from these places as much as anywhere else...

So right.

They really need to take a look at themselves.

A marketing department might be the answer. :)

I agree that AFC and the SPL in general need to look at the pricing structure but the bit highlighted has nowt to do with it IMO.

We've lost kids to the OF and EPL because kids like to be winners, they dont like being slagged off at school by the mink with weegie parents whos up here trying to plunder our wealth so they say they support Liverpool/Spurs/Man U or some other English overspending club to get away from it. Parents dont help either, they'd rather sit in front of Stoke v Bolton on a Sunday avo than take their spawn to the footie here. Maybe the price is the excuse but its not the reason, the reason is our football is, for the most part, sh*te, the stadium is cold, the atmosphere is damp, the stewards and police are w*nkers and half the players dont give a f**k.

I dont think letting the kids in for free would improve the football or stadium but it might be useful in the future when these kids have their own cash to splash.

I was speaking to a few English friends about football and teams like Ipswich get away with charging £38 a game for Adults...They are getting nearly 26000 averages and rising every year.

So why is it that in Scotland, and in Aberdeen where average wages are higher do we almost have a coronary with paying £22? or pay just £220 for a season ticket.

Football is not that expensive, its just people in Scotland would much rather drink themselves stupid, than go to football matches...sad but it reality.

well, yeah, but i assumed from your short, previous reply that it was only stopped because justsport took all proceeds from shirt sales

now thats not happening, i logically assumed the discount will be available again

you not get that?

AFC website saying you'll get 10% off first purchase at new club store.
