Jack_Glass
Got told today my job seekers allowance was cut because my N.I. contributions ran out, now i have to appeal and may not get a penny, yet i have worked most of my adult life with no criminal record. I can't believe the government, they give jakes n junkies benefits for everything, many of them with criminal records, many been claiming benefits for decades and yet they cut me off when I really need the cash. Trouble is I may now have to cancel my mobile phone contract, so how can employers get in touch? I may have to cancel my gym membership which I really need for personal health reasons. Stupid thing is if i was a lying lazy fu**** i could screw the system and play the depression card n get incapacity benefit, that way they'd be off my case. That would also give me more cash. Just shows that if you are a decent human being you get nothing, if you are a scum bag you get cash to spend on your habits. Well I have a job interview next week up in Edinburgh for a tech support role, I'm gonna have to be at my very best. ARGH! Moan over! Link to comment
tup
Correct, I vividly remember finishing Uni, going to the job centre in the meantime whilst I tied up loose ends and started my proper job, was made to feel a couple of inches tall by some bitch in an interview for Link to comment
tup
Listen up, I proof read that, and tried to correct it, but the board seems f**ked up at the moment, so I gave up and just fired it on. c**t. Link to comment
Jack_Glass
Correct, I vividly remember finishing Uni, going to the job centre in the meantime whilst I tied up loose ends and started my proper job, was made to feel a couple of inches tall by some bitch in an interview for £40 a quid or some other insulting offer, just walked out, gave her a verbal savaging first, the derisory amount offered is no compensation for that kind of interrogation. Yet The Scheme families are raking it in. Sickening. That's were part of the problem is for decent people that need the cash until they get another job TO PAY THEIR BILLS & FEED THEIR FAMILIES. Decades of scammers, addicts n lazy c***s have drained resources to the point were the normal hard working person can barely get any financial help. I know many of the people that claim are from poor areas and sometimes circumstances can be helped, but i'm referring to the many that have no intention of working and screw the system. Now when i really need the cash i'm suffering because the government throws cash at the wrong people. Basically i should have just kept running about with street gangs as a teen, worked up through the ranks and filled my bank with drug/intimidation money then wrote a book about it. Instead my girlfriend got pregnant, so i joined the army to look after her n the kid, thus not draining the government of cash and this is all the thanks i get. The system is messed up, decent people should be getting a fek'n medal in this day n age. Link to comment

tainboy
mobile phones and gym memberships are not necessities. How do you think companies got in touch with prospective employees prior to mobile phones being invented???? Also, if you need exercise for personal health reasons - go for a walk, jog or sprint. These are free. Link to comment

These are free. are u having a laugh? a mobile is a necessity in todays modern world, next to email its our primary source of communication (snail mail died a long time ago), i don't have a house phone, most companies only contact people via phones & email now, i might not even be able to afford my internet connection i did not state my mobile & gym were necessities, i did say they were beneficial to me, what if i have to call in sick, say i'm running late or tell someone i've had an accident, should i send them a fek'n letter instead? get real, fek'n junkies on the scheme all run around with mobiles n get benefits for drugs ref jogging - i have a metal pin in my ankle so won't get much out of jogging and it's not good on the knees,, walking is total nonsense, i don't even consider that exercise unless you're 70+ years old, we walk all the time, even in the house meant to add, i have a technical support background, it would look great applying for similar tech roles with no mobile phone, no email & no internet, so they are required in this day n age, many jobs depend of you being contactable 24/7 Link to comment

It is not. The only necessities we have are warmth (clothing/shelter) and food. snail mail may have fallen out of fashion due to the speed people "expect" in today's world, however there's no arguing it works and is effective. perhaps not as fast as modern electronic methods, but time has proven that it works. Call in sick to what? you're on the sausage! Running late - it's not as if you've had a hard day at work and don't have the time to turn up early! Had an accident? pished yourself watching Jeremy Kyle!? Most of the junkies mobiles are probably nicked - maybe you should make a career of crime. Seems to be decent living in the nick these days. If you really need/want exercise you don't need a gym. That's a nother fallacy of the modern world. Go hill walking, swim, do sit-ups. You just seem to be whining as you're not getting your "share" of the spoils. There are jobs out there that you could walk in to tomorrow if you were desparate for work, same for most of the unemployed - they just think they are above the jobs on offer. Link to comment

twiglet-elgin
Well said. It is f**king disgusting the way them scumbags on The Scheme are lauded and worshipped by the media (e.g The Sun newspaper) for being the lowest of the low. Getting back on topic I remember the time when I was out of work (and unfortunately that was a fair bit of the time prior to returning to college in '04), although I got off up my f**king arse to apply for numerous jobs on a daily basis I was still treated as a scumbag by the Jobcentre and others that really should know better but decided not to - still rankles me yet. Even though you try your damnedest to secure employment in any line of work you are tarred with the same brush, whilst inactive, I'm afraid by those who do not have a clue.i'm in work. the wife has three little part time jobs. yet the single mother upstairs who is sh*gging the guy upstairs who also claims housing benifits get everything. he drives a f**king scooby. new carpets and sofa and tv.arrrggghh!!!!bloody torries Link to comment
