Lang Bar
Swikkin my age but nae by much, it's all relative I suppose.Quite possibly it would really need to be Martin Buchan.Varga was obviously brilliant, but a bit of a fly by nighter. If he'd stayed around he might have been as good as jinky smith. But Buchan gets my vote on so many levels. HH_is_back
William Miller, best defender I have ever witnessed. No one could read a game like Willie, nor has anyone since. An amazing player and also a born leader. Link to comment
DieHardDandy
Hicham Zeroali - the most skilful player to have graced Pittodrie in a long time. Shame Ebbe was so obsessed with trying to teach him to defend that he kept him on the bench for most of his Dons career. Wee magician! Link to comment

Always wanted to beat another man. As far as the best go, in terms of an all round hero, it must be Joey Harper, the "KING" Link to comment

Crossbow
Wonderfully difficult and will change I suspect according to mood - but for today Jim Bett gets the accolade Link to comment

Stoneybloke
Oh aye Joey was the king but he wis nae ZoltanAs far as playing ability is concerned you are most likely correct, but Joey did command a unique degree of hero worship that we may never see again from an Aberdeen player. Link to comment

Dandyesque
Hard to say. I saw Miller, McLeish, Leighton etc in their prime, but was not a regular attender and only a young loon who didn't really know who was best etc. My favourite was Gordon Strachan though. Later, it would be Jim Bett, followed by Jess and Shearer. Link to comment
