Jazzer_Bett
.........he's a bit of a dude like Good Red TV interview, speaks excellent English and seems to have a good attitude towards playing for the Dons. When asked to describe his strengths as a Goalkeeper he says "everything". Things seem to point to this guy being as a solid a keeper as we've had in a while. Best of luck, looks a character for the fans as well. Anyone watching the Bochum game please report back on the chap  Link to comment

A player with that level of confidence is something we've missed in a long time. I hope we don't drag his confidence level down to Clangers! Link to comment
Jazzer_Bett
I hope we don't drag his confidence level down to Clangers! Well phrased min. When commenting on Langfield thats the way I see it, he has the ability but disastrous events during his time with us have undermined his confidence. This guy is coming in with no baggage, a fresh start in a key position. Looks like he's in until December anyway. Link to comment

As soon as he feels the pressure he loses it, especially when we're up against Dundee United! THAT semi final he lost it completely, under the anger and frustration I felt a bit sorry for him! russellh
Im sure Gonzalez said in a paper interview that he would be interested in a permanent deal with us. Obviously we havent seen him play yet and of course not sure of the nature of the wages with the loan from city but if he matches his self belief then hopefully we have uncovered a cracker of a signing. (well for 6 months at least) Link to comment
vanderark14
whilst im sure ill love this guy, IMAGINE the reaction if maguire had come out with a quip like that, would u still be sayin u love the confidence? Maguire had nothing to back such a statement up. I'm sure that if Gonzalez turns oot to be pure crap then someone will refer to that comment. Time will tell; Link to comment

tup
As I said when he signed, this is the best goalkeeper we have had at the club for a number of years. The worst thing is, he's clearly going to prove that, and six month loan = very short term thinking. If he plays well in our first four games we should be looking to extend that considerably. Having said that we have maybe covered that base in terms of an option to buy written into the loan. Link to comment
Foster14
care to explain what, apart from the fact hes at man city, is your basis for such a mental statement? I have to say, the bar hasn't been set all that highly in recent years... Link to comment

Dandyesque
As I said when he signed, this is the best goalkeeper we have had at the club for a number of years. I expect you're right - he'll be at least as good as Langfield. If he's as good as Kjaer, I'll be delighted. I don't think he will be though - Kjaer's organisation was immaculate. Link to comment

Jazzer_Bett
Tup aint the only one who seems confident about him. As I said, he used the word iswhich indicates fact, whilst I merely stated that certain things (i.e his pedigree) indicated its likely he could be - because I don't know for sure as I haven't seen him play in the flesh yet? Maybe Tup has - have you Tup? Link to comment

We have the option to extend the loan by another 6 months in January. Having said that we have maybe covered that base in terms of an option to buy written into the loan. We're only contributing 25% of his wages, so I'd imagine if we wanted to sign him he would have to agree to one whoor of a pay cut. Link to comment

He is out of contract this season though and unless he is the best keeper the SPL has ever seen he might not have all that many offers and if he is happy at AFC...... Link to comment
