tutankamun
I don't believe it, Levein is actually playing with a striker tonight. I thought he would've gone with the tried and trusted 4-6-0 formation and tried to frustrate Denmark by killing the game and hope to get something on the break. McGregor, Bardsley, Wilson, Caldwell, Crainey, Snodgrass, Brown, Adam, Morrison, Naismith, Miller Link to comment
OddJob
Stephen Crainey is in the Scotland squad? Holy f**k.I actually was going to post that yesterday but thought i'd get accused of being negative towards Scotland again. The guy is just an abomination of a player. Link to comment
tutankamun
I'll be negative towards Scotland because I couldn't give 2 fecks about them. Crainey is f**king horrific and their team are hopeless. I cannot see them getting to a big tournament any time soon. Aye, especially that boy Adam, he's just a fat waste of space! Link to comment

OddJob
Scotland's defense is absolutely horrific!! Look ok going forward thoughBardsley is a good full-back and i suppose Wilson has something about him even though i'm not a big fan of his but Caldwell and Crainey can GTF. McGregor also needs to give himself a f**king shake and sort this sh*t out for the Czechs game. Agree about Naismith. f**king narky little c**t for the Huns but been impressed with him for Scotland whenever he's played. Link to comment
barassie_afc
As much as think Levein is a neep , he has changed the dynamic of this team, they look hungry, want to play and there is a lot of ability out there. First time in ages I am looking fwd to the qualifiers. Link to comment
rossafc92
Can't believe there's folk on here who couldn't give a toss about Scotland. Not the best attitude especially given how important the games coming up next month and in October are. Link to comment

First time in ages I am looking fwd to the qualifiers.Agreed. Think there's enough potential in this side for us to eventually make a Championship again. Adam, Dorrans, Goodwillie, Snodgrass all good quality technical players of the same age group who will only get better with time. Link to comment

vanderark14
defence looks shaky but our passing on the offensive has looked goo at times. the future does look better for us at the moment. think we have a far better side than we have had for a fair few years tonight should be enough for any one to see Craig Gordon is and should be number 1 Link to comment
Dynamo
I was at Hampden the last time we played Denmark midweek (2002/2003?) My school ran a bus down. Link to comment

OddJob
Thank god for us having a strong enough midfield and to an extent forward line cause with a defence like that we should really have been beaten tonight. We need a drastic improvement in defence for the Czech game. Agree about the younger guys in the team who did very well, but why did Goodwillie not come on tonight? Thought he'd have come on with about 20 minutes to go or something. Also does anyone know if the Czech game is a sell-out as wouldn't mind going? Link to comment
The Oxford Don
How well did Gary Caldwell play tonight? Doubtless he'll be back to his usual reassuringly incompetent self for the qualifiers when it actually matters. Our midfield is really starting to look good, and there were some big names missing tonight. Always a good sign. Still think Dorrans should have started ahead of Snodgrass, although he'll have enjoyed his goal. Anyway I now have my tickets for the Czech game, looking forward to it. Link to comment
The Oxford Don
Yeah, Crainey was ok, probably his best (or least awful) Scotland outing to date. He won't be playing in any meaningful matches anyway, hopefully, once Hutton is available again. Hutton at RB and Bardsley at LB, and that's the full-backs sorted. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
I don't believe it, Levein is actually playing with a striker tonight. I thought he would've gone with the tried and trusted 4-6-0 formation and tried to frustrate Denmark by killing the game and hope to get something on the break. McGregor, Bardsley, Wilson, Caldwell, Crainey, Snodgrass, Brown, Adam, Morrison, Naismith, Miller You trying to be a cock or have you just not seen any of Scotlands games since the Czech one? Whats with the need to be so negative or are you just so totally ignorant of the current scotland team you are unaware they are shaping up fairly well right now? 4-6-0 was sadly used in 1 game. 1 game though so keep it in perspective. I think Levein had an epiphany in the Scotland vs Spain game. He found this way of making the 4-1-4-1 work going forward as well as back which is actually more than McLeish, Burley or Smith managed so fair play to him. Since the moment Adam replaced the useless c**t Mcculloch you could see the potential and Levein has developed and improved a system that for once seems to work with the players we have without being totally negative. IMO we've looked like a team capable of scoring in every game since and we've had good spells in all the games although not always good 90 min performances. The way I see it we have been playing 5 midfielders most of home lack pace and engine to get up to the forward but also lack the invention to make things happen. Or the odd midfielder with lots of invention but no discipline (McFadden). worst of all we seemed to feel it essential to have at least one total clogger in front of the defence to protect them. but we had it all wrong by playing a fud like mcculoch who if he wins the ball can barely pass if 5 yards so requiring the whole midfield to come deep looking for the ball of him. Now, with Bannan or Adam on the holding role when they pick up the ball the midfield all push forward and make runs in anticipation of a pass coming. Its great to see compared with before and with Commons, Naismith, Dorrans and Morrison all capable of some neat football and gettting beyond K Miller we actually look threatening. Link to comment
RUL
To many English cants playing for me to support Scotland. Didn't even watch the game. That said, Naismith is class for rangers imo so not surprised he's playing well for Scotland, if he moves to a bigger club than the huns he'll improve even further. Link to comment
