King Street Loon
Looking for some help here. Decided to finally get my iTunes sorted out so downloaded iTunes programme and then plugged in my iPhone. It began syncing but then came up saying that my computer isn't athorised to back-up the 89 apps on my phone. Checked it, and it said it was.It then doesn't go past step 3 of the syncing process and gives me the option to verify my apple id. The password I type in isn't being accepted and I've tried changing the password, but the same thing just keeps happening. As a consequence I can't use any of the purchased apps on my phone, although they still show up on the phone. Going round in circles here and it's seriously doing my nut in. Begining to hate apple and wonder why they have to make this so complicated.......or maybe I'm just being stupid. But i doubt that. Would it be best for me to go and see one of those spotty genius folks in the apple shop or is there anyone on here with any suggestions. Perhaps it might be easier to get everything put back to factory default. New apple id, passwords the lot. Wipe everything. But I want to keep my apps. Yours in need. KSL Apple is sh*t Link to comment
Big Man
I had a similar problem with buying apps on my fone and then backing them up with itunes. Im not sure what you were trying to do here? It wouldnt accept my apple id password when i typed it in on the fone (it was being c@nty for some reason). I ended up ringing up apple - they were actually very nice and let me re-download all my apps through i-tunes. I also changed my password. In my experience apple customer support are genuinely decent, i would fone them first. Now i buy everything through i-tunes and sync to my phone - lesson learned. Did you make sure your computer is authorised to sync? (Mind you i have an iphone 3gs so i dunno if things are different now) Link to comment

It was a while ago but im pretty sure it was this (which i got from the apple website): Telephone Support To get technical support over the phone, please call 0844 209 0611*. Lines are open Monday-Friday 08:00-19:45 and Saturday 10:00-17:45. If your product is within its 90-day complimentary support period or covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, you will not have to pay for the support. Otherwise, you may purchase per-incident support. Like i said, i was genuinely shocked with the level of customer service (the power to let me download all my apps again....) Link to comment

King Street Loon
If I had the ability to reach down my phone and grap the throat of the apple guy at the other end In would have done it there. He was of no use whatsoever and his neutral voice just bugged me. HTC for me next time. Link to comment

daytripping
Just don't listed to music through your phone, problem sorted, I've never done it and can't say I need it. I tend to find only poor public transport users use such things. Link to comment
