Sonoftherock
Sack the board. Not another manager - it wouldn't make a difference. Link to comment

Ke1t
Getting to turning point. Record is absymall, same problems yet again. Do we sack Brown? Who do we get in next? We need a REAL striker, it's that simple. I don't mean a loaner or a journeyman to fill a shirt... we need an ACTUAL, REAL striker. Someone who can make room for the shot, who can turn a defender, who can put the ball on target. Right now we've got 'strikers' who can do none of these things, and the goals for tally highlights that better than anything else can. Link to comment

As i have said a couple of weeks ago i believe our first win will be against dunfermline in October!!!!! Link to comment

Which, I would suggest, is why he has taken in a couple of trialists to get in an additional striker to the one he has been after all along. Link to comment

We could have Didier Drogba or Wayne Rooney up front and they still wouldn't score! Link to comment

Ke1t
How are we going to create chances for this striker? The thing is we weren't pinned back in our box, or even in our own half. We had plenty play around the Hearts danger area and no-one capable of finishing. If we actually had a quality striker we were in positions to put the ball in the net today. What happened was we had guys who were incapable of the skill or guile needed to beat a defender and put in a shot. We could have Didier Drogba or Wayne Rooney up front and they still wouldn't score! Very much beg to differ. Link to comment

He sticks with the same two despite both failing to score this season. He says he wont make a panic signing, to me that team is worth panicking over. Link to comment
Ke1t
I wasn't there today and I'll be f**ked if I'm wasting my Saturday night watching that on ALBA, so someone else can inform us what happened today. As far as I can see, there's no reason for us to be joint bottom with zero goals scored if we've got the 5th biggest budget in the league. The blame for that lies with the management team. Not sure I agree with that. There's a certain budget to work to, and if it's insufficient to bring in ALL the players we need then the manager is going to be short somewhere on the pitch. The alternative being to bring in a full team of lower quality. The problem lies with a lack of backing from the board. Link to comment
The Oxford Don
No option but to back. If we were to get rid of Brown I can't even begin to think of a replacement who would make any difference. The club and the team is dying on its arse and the only way out of the current hole is to give the manager the funds to improve the quality of the playing staff before we end up cut adrift at the bottom of the table. It's an affront to the good name and history of AFC that we are, at the moment, essentially relying on the shiteness of St Johnstone, Dunfermline and Inverness, but be under no illusions: that's where we're at. I'm torn between no longer giving a f**k and being genuinely terrified about what this season might hold. Link to comment
Jaws
Our board won't pay the money for that option. You're kind of contradicting yourself then when you're suggesting we sack the manager, which costs money. I'd far rather we spent the money to get a decent striker in than shelling thousands of pounds on sacking managers all the time. How much money have we wasted on not backing managers properly then sacking them when results are inevitably not going our way? Link to comment

If they have a suitable replacement in mind the money won't matter. This's been the whole problem with AFC for years. We're consistently told the budget has been "exhausted", that there is no more funds for the manager to play with, then magically they have the funds to sack the manager who they failed to back. You couldn't make sh*t like this up. If they would just back the manager in the first place we wouldn't be in this mess. Link to comment
fifered
what to do? my solution has been to stop going to games. doesn't help the club but makes me feel sh!t loads better. AFC is p!sh and there is nothing I can do about it. once milne etc go I'll be back. our club is a laughing stock. Link to comment
dj_bollocks
Get the f**king cheque books out... This club is a shambles, abject failures, could hit a f**king barn door, defensive, negative, can't hold or create anything, led by an Imposter... Waste of time space and money... Link to comment
coco i clown
as said else where why spend thousands on paying another manager off when that cash could be used(but it wont) to strenghen the team. nd wide players a striker who can find the onion bag and a couple o decent full backs also. Is this the case or is Brown just inept and devoid of any tactical awareness? Link to comment
Dandyjam
Management team not completely blameless but sacking Brown will achieve nothing other than having to pay off another manager. Blame lies with the board who have yet again cut the budget and we are in the same boat (possibly worse) as last season with no width to the team and no balance. Fans will continue to drift away and won't return until team starts winning which is a long way off. In short term, only way fans will come back is with a marquee signing (McFadden for example) but we all know with the current board, this won't happen. Personally I'm losing more and more interest as time goes on and this apathy seems to be spreading judging by recent crowds and eventually if things carry on, we've a serious chance of going down. spamspamspam
Team poorly put togetherno balanceno creativitydefense cant defend Too late to look for a new manager, he wont be able to do anything unless he's given money for at least 3 players. Brown should've brought in the right players with the budget in the first place but he hasnt. Sackable offense, yes in my mind but sacking him at this point in time would be fruitless.
