Bluto10
to highlight how much our game has fallen, we are nominating players like john collins as the best player of the 90s and 00s, compare that with the 70/80s. off the top of my head..... bremner, souness, dalglish, law, strachan, miller. even players like jordan, burns, buchan, robertson are so much better than what we have recently had. nothing we didnt already know. but its a stark contrast. better goalies though past 20 years. ericblack4boss
have to say we were blessed with great talent in the midfield and and attack in the late 70s early to mid 80s with Scotland squads featuring such talent as Strachan, Souness, McStay, Cooper, Aitken, Bannon, Bett, Wark, Archibald, Sturrock McGhee, Gray, Johnston, Dalglish, Nicholas, Provan. without doubt for me the best era we have ever had in the midfield and forward areas of the team. Crossbow
Dalglish was the most complete player we produced in that era, though more of a force for Liverpool than for Scotland. Link to comment

Amazes me the quality we had 20-30yrs ago, we could add Archie Gemmill to the list as well, McGrain & Alan Hansen. I wonder if we'll ever see a great Scot's player ever again. Link to comment
