Prefer Ray Charles if I'm honest.

If you're honest?

What's the point in those extra three words?

Would you say "Prefer Cilla Black if I'm dishonest?"

Anyway Start a thread about blind singers or Ray Charles on his own if you're that way inclined.

This is the Stevie Wonder thread.

He's even been on Sesame Street.

The Stevie Wonder thread.

Just listening to his Greatest Hits collection.

Awesome would be too tame a word to describe how ace he is.

I would call the thread the Stevie Wonder appreciation thread but as he's unlikely to read this we can call it what we want.

A true musical genius.

Discuss.

Would agree he's exceptional , boofon , jury oot on genius ; he's fair pit on the beef since his Little Stevie Wonder days.

There is a time when we are at our most emotionally receptive , it's one of the good things about being young , there is a danger of becoming emotionally jaded when older.

I believe huddin' on tae our emotionality is part of being 'forever young'. Nevertheless , I was probably in my 'best before date' years when I heard these albums( he's three years younger than me ) when they had their greatest impact ; we are talking 'diminishing returns but thanks for the memory' , if I listen to them today.

Byrds Turn! Turn! Turn!

Words-adapted from The Bible, book of Ecclesiastes

Music-Pete Seeger

To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)

There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)

And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to be born, a time to die

A time to plant, a time to reap

A time to kill, a time to heal

A time to laugh, a time to weep

To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)

There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)

And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to build up,a time to break down

A time to dance, a time to mourn

A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)

There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)

And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time of love, a time of hate

A time of war, a time of peace

A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)

There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)

And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to gain, a time to lose

A time to rend, a time to sew

A time for love, a time for hate

A time for peace, I swear it's not too late
