If you're in a fibre optic area - go with virgin. They are hands down the best broadband provider i've ever had. Also never had a problem with my landline - they'll do you a could deal for both.

 

If your not, then you're only credible option is BT - IMHO.

I have heard you get a lot of those annoying telesales calls when on Talk Talk.

 

I'm with BT, not the best but not the worst. Find the internet lags big time from 5pm until around 10pm.

Mobile connection is good. Am using my mobile as a network hub to type this. Problem is that (with Vodafone at least) you're paying

i hate them, but sky are good, they have good technology and i've never had a problem with the service.

They're all pretty shit to be honest. High contention, pish customer service, long contracts and a fucking nightmare to change once you're in with one of them.

 

I don't even want to recommend one, but I suppose you may as well go with BT unless you get TV through sky.

Unfortunately I can't get Sky where I live now, it was the best internet by far when I lived in the city. I just bought a device which turns your electric circuit in your house into one massive wired network. The difference between using that and a wireless connection is huge, basically like having your PC, Xbox etc all hardwired to your router. I'll never go back to wireless again.
