Football Anomalies

I like that in Football there are some things that simply can't be explained. For example:

- Hibernian, one of the biggest clubs in Scotland, haven't won the Scottish Cup since 1902

- England, one of the most important nations in world football, have never even reached the final of the European Championships (see link)

Any more?

Pretty sure the European Cup is the only euro trophy that Chelski haven't won.

Cup Winners Cup in 1998

UEFA Cup 1971?

Crazy to think right enough though seeing as the London clubs have been in a few finals as well or thereabouts

Actually, Spurs have the best European record out of all the London clubs.

We were the first British club to win a major European trophy - the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1963.

And we've won more major European trophies (3) than any of the other London clubs - in fact only Liverpool and Manchester United have won more.

I stand corrected. I knew they won quite a few trophies under Bill Nicholson, just never realised how many
