If we got a decent team to play in the testimonial and it's our last game at Pittodrie, we'd probably have a massive crowd. Better that than having the final game in a bottom 6 meaningless match against St Mirren or Dunfermline etc.

I think as long as we ensure we have a big game at Pittodrie as our last, against a big decent side then I would imagine it being a sell out. I agree that our last game should be about Pittodrie and AFC. I think for Simpsons sake, i'd rather have his testimonial being about HIM and not about the Pittodries last game.

I agree but then again I suspect Simmie will give a large, if not all, of the money from his testemonial to charity. I mean its about celebrating Simmie as a player not just an excuse to give him money (or have I misunderstood the campaign).

Testimonial at some stage, i agree with, but not Aberdeens last game at Pittodrie.

 

The last game should be to celebrate EVERYTHING in Aberdeens history, not just one person/player.

Nice to see the club is looking at a request from the fans. But they are missing a trick here. Think that a Simmy testimonial and the last ever game would both draw a full house. Why would they want to have this as the same match?

 

I think both occasions should be celebrated separately.

Agreed guys, should be 2 separate matches rather than the last game. Would be utterly amazed if the board would even stretch to inviting Madrid over for any match let alone a testimonial. Skinflint cunts!!
