Dandyesque
They've managed to find someone less attractive than Margaret Curran to lead the party. That must have taken some doing. Link to comment
centraldon
Minging lesbo's for party leader is in fashion. Just ask the torries. Big Eck will be loving this. Although its only a matter of time before he has his first "calm down dear" moment. Link to comment

zander
Is there any point to Labour nowadays? Especially up here, no coal mines,no ship yards. Link to comment
stirlingsheep
Is there any point to Labour nowadays? Especially up here, no coal mines,no ship yards.Labour's problem up here was they thought the Scottish people would vote for them eternally for setting up the Scottish Parliament. Once in power they did sod all and I think the Iraq war pissed a lot of people off. People recognised New Labour was actually just new Thatcherism. The SNP were coming up with policies that were geared towards ordinary people. Even down south where the 'top' MPs sit, the leadership elections were a joke. No one actually cared who was leader of the opposition. The Lib Dems sold out. No small wonder Salmond and co walked it in May, and with the current UK government and 3 years of no real opposition up here, Independence might be a cake walk as well. Link to comment
