Could understand it from Arnsson.

Thought this dude would be happy playing every week............

Maybe happy playing but getting paid 2 grand instead of 7-8 grand a week will be the reason...can't blame him really.

I would expect Arnason to do exactly the same...which kinnda points towards WTF did we sign these players for knowing full well we would have to start all over again at the end of the season...stop gap signings are not what is required...it looks like season to season SPL survival is the goal...nothing more.

How long has it taken you to realise that's what its all about, nothing more......

Yes I have been aware this is the case for some time...which is completely unacceptable for a club like AFC...maybe Motherwell or St Mirren(who seem to be able to scout players who will stay more than a season funnily enough) but AFC should be more than just an SPL survival club

Fully expected this line.

We were/are a means to and end for Osbourne.

He needed someone to take a chance on him after a long time out injured.

It's a shop window job for him and this is probably the longest sustained run of games he's had.

I didn't think he'd stay next season although I hoped he would.

This confirms to me that he sees his career away from here.

Strong smell of EE shite as usual.

And as usual may I direct you to his RedTV interview which gives the complete opposite indication to this-!

One year deal, if he didn't do anything he'd have pleaded for a new deal, hes done well stayed fit he will be off to the Fizzy pop league in the summer.

Wouldn't offer him another deal anyway. Not actually that good and more than covered in centre mid. In fact giving him another contract would just further hinder the progress of Fyvie and Jack who are both central midfielders but being shunted out of position. Use the considerable wages to get in wide players.

That makes a lot of sense.

Time for Fyvie to step up to the fence.

Absolutely. I think Osbourne has been one of the few success's of the season so far, but no great loss if he's to move on. The extra responsibility placed on the likes of Jack's shoulders could be the making of him.

With you on that K9 - I'd like to keep Ozzie but lets face it midfield bruisers aren't hard to come by in Scotland are they?

Arnie is priority as he can do so many things for us whereas Ozzie is what he is, a hard cunt.

I wouldn't want a 2 man midfield with Jack and Fyvie in it. Especially if the wide players were of the attacking winger variety...

Agree to an extent. I would like to keep Osbourne but not desperate for him to stay. I would offer him a deal, if he signs all good, if not, we have Fyvie and Jack to come in alongside Arnie hopefully and use the no doubt quite hefty wages Osbourne is on to sign players in positions which are more urgent to us. Fullbacks/wingers.

its no shock. we knew this was going to happen when he and kari signed 1 year deals. ozzy was a massive risk anyway as hes about as injury prone as darren anderton so the fact hes lasted the 90 of every game so far is astonishing.

im just looking at it as he was a stop gap. hes essentially a loan signing whose come in and been decent. mutually beneficial, hes been important in some games for us while folly has been out...he uses us as a chance to get in the shop window.

if he leaves, he leaves. ill be saddened to see him go as i reckon we could build a very solid spine around he and kari but if its not meant to be, its not as if there arent thousands of footballers round the world who could do the same job.

Sums up my thoughts exactly. Couldnt have put it better.

Id much rather we had a player who actually WANTS to be here.

Sick of players taking the piss. Seems to happen to us every year.

If he doesnt want to be here then he should be told to find a new club in January so CB can bring a suitable replacement.

Wont be a huge loss but he has done a decent job so far. If he doesnt want to commit to the club then as far as im concerned he can F*ck off.

Fraser and Mr Brown are on record as saying this process will be short and sharp - and i'm glad to hear it, AFC should not be dicked around by these parasite agents.

They said that at this time last year and Aluko saga only ended a few weeks ago when we were still trying to get him to re-sign with us!!
