Commentators

One thing that has puzzled me was why BBC Radio 5 Live have two commentators for games they cover. Right now I'm listening to Blackburn-Bolton and there are two commentators doing half of a half each.

 

I guess having listened to BBC Radio Scotland for so long I didn't understand why they needed to do this. Anyway I notice that the BBC are finally going to stop this waste of money but not until 2014.

I was quite surprised at the number of people commenting who liked this two commentator set up. Hopefully they'll sack Alan Green as well

 

I didn't think that this alone deserved its own thread but thought a thread where we can generally discuss the commentators and pundits we like and loathe :thumbs:

Always confused me as well! And I bet there will be local bbc radio commentators at games as well.

I don't mind Alan Green. Think he is a good commentator who describes the action well (which Is his job after all), ok he can say some daft stuff but who doesn't?
