Time to man up Blackie and stop behaving like tell tale Talula's!!! Link to comment

NorthernLights24
I wasn't paying attention at the time but Linker asked if racism was a problem in English football and Hansen replied... No it's not. If you played twenty-five Link to comment

Redstar
I wasn't paying attention at the time but Linker asked if racism was a problem in English football and Hansen replied... I'd say he was clumsy with his words more then anything else. However it won't stop the usual mass hysteria we see these days when these things happen.I think Barassie is on the wind up...If you can't say coloured without someone taking offence we are well and truley fu*ked. Xmas is about folk putting aside the troubles of the year and celebrating together...FFS during the first world war they even stopped fighting and played a game of football...now it seems the very same sport is hell bent on dividing the nation at Xmas time Link to comment

Redstar
No big deal in that context surely. It was lead news story on both ITV and BBC last night...folk are either on one side or the other...It's something we could do without at this time of the year Link to comment
The Boofon
No big deal in that context surely. Correct. Still shows that people are still very uneducated in regards to the correct way of speaking though. Loads of folk on here still use the word coloured. Using a person's race is a lot of the time irrelevant anyway although in Hansen's context he was making a point. However there is also a lot of times when stating a person's race is totally irrelevant. KSL this is only because it's a recent post and I am not directly singling you out but read this: I was up by their delivery depot in Hareness Circle last week picking up the GF parcel which I wasn't in for. Witnessed two black folk in the Reception having the biggest barney with 2 customers about a phone from O2.To say they were unhelpfull and rude would be an understatement. The female was no problem with me, but from what I've heard you are not alone in your experience Dazzy. Why was there the need to say it was two black folk? Are you implying they are more bothersome than a white person? Of course not it's just that some people think using a person's skin colour makes the point have more of an impact to others. I'd have thought nothing more had you only said you witnessed two folk in the reception having the biggest barney.By mentioning they're black you inadvertently suggest that black folk are more bothersome which wasn't your point. It's two folk. The colour of their skin has no relevance with any of the content. Loads more instances when people say "I say this black guy walking down the street" or "I saw this Asian guy hanging around the toilets." Unless it's specifically a statement about black people or Asian guy's toilet habits then the mention of race is absurd to say the least. If you're asking a question or making a statement about black people (as Hansen was doing) then by all means carry on. Otherwise leave it as it should be. Link to comment
tup
Can you imagine three or four black guys in a studio, dis(cu)sing football, Bill Cosby-esque dudes, and saying such and such a team is doing fairly well considering the number of white boys in their side. Imagine the fuss? i.e. none whatsoever. Link to comment

tup
Black players and people are just not made of the same stern stuff they used to be, the likes of Cyrille Regis, and Mark Walters, proper black men, could take severe racist abuse on the chin, and keep coming back for more, none of your lily-livered coloured gentlemen of the modern day who canna take any cheek at all. It's funny that many on here seem it acceptable to refer to Suarez as "a buck toothed cu*t"...which of course is in no way insulting because he's white...Fuc*ing Hell!! Link to comment

Ignorance at it's finest. What Hansen was implying is that racisim was rife 25-30 years ago, and although it is still about, it's not nearly as bad these days. What Hansen said wasn't racist, but he needs to work on his terminology a bit. Link to comment

StandFree1982
*****************MOCK OUTRAGE ALERT***************** We're all coloured! FFS The world needs to man the fuck up and get on with things. Hansen wasn't intending or meaning to offend, it wasn't aimed as an angry gesture like some of the comments made on field. It's a word that was acceptable years ago and not now, which is fine if the word initially was offensive, but it's not! The N word was "acceptable" years ago, but it's not now BECAUSE it is offensive. Enlighten me someone as to why "coloured" was changed? I never use that word myself, but i'm really not sure why it is causing outrage. I AM COLOURED FFS, i'm certainly not transparent! I would say i'm more pink than white....not that i'm going to complain about someone going "he's white" Link to comment

The reason the comment above is seen as racist is because there was NO NEED to mention the fact he was black....Would he have said to Rooney "He's a fucking white c*nt"? No, so why did he feel he needed to put the colour of the guys skin into the comment? because he's a racists white prick. Link to comment

Old Wing Stand
It's only a bit of name calling, like the lookee lookee men in Tenerife shouting to me "hey chicken nugget buy a pair of shades" when I got home my loon told me that chicken nugget means cheap white meat.Things like that should be laughed off but the PC brigade want to make a fuss along with others and their mock outrage Link to comment

No but I'm pretty sure players have baited Rooney (pre transplant) with "Oi you bald cunt"...which is a personal attack designed to hurt his feelings...which is what this nonsense is all about...but cause he's white it's okay? Make no mistake Evra and Ferdinand have reported these incidents with one thing in mind...to cause fellow profesionals as much harm as possible...and we wonder why the saying "ni*ger in the woodpile" was coined? woohoo
Redstar has gone on my block list. Only person on any forum ever to have done so. Never has a poster spewed such a constant stream of utter shite. Its just utterly relentless. There are plenty of posters on this site who are racist (to varying degrees, but you're all disgusting cretins), plenty of folk that cannae spell, plenty of folk with what I believe to be warped footballing opinions... but that's all part of the fun of it all. Won't be too harsh on the boy as he's clearly not all there upstairs, but every post gives me an almighty headache and it's really not worth the effort spending time deciphering his rants only to find it's the same laboured and/or backward point made yet again.
