Big Man
Here are some questions to get the debate flowing: i) What would you like an independent Scotland to be like? ii) What kind of legislation would you like to see enacted that we can't enact just now? iii) What would you like our relationship with the international community to be like? iv) What would our immigration laws be like? Big Man
Aye. I imagine Wick will remain largely unaffected either way... Link to comment
ScottishJohn
No need to negotiate with those cunts. Link to comment
Dynamo
Nae fussed, so I'd fall under the "Unsure" option on your poll. Link to comment
tup
We will all remain unaffected regardless, political choice is an illusion designed to sedate. Link to comment
vanderark14
100% for Independence Link to comment
Big Man
Nae fussed, so I'd fall under the "Unsure" option on your poll. Its a referendum, there's no unsure option. If you're unsure you vote no. Link to comment
Dynamo
I'll abstain then. I'll have to have a good look through the pros and cons for and against independence before I voted anyway. I'm not for it or against it at the moment. Link to comment
Big Man
I'll abstain then. You'll get a sore arse if you keep sitting on that fence Dynamo. And then Bluto will offer to rub it better... Link to comment
Foster14
No and no as it stands. I can't vote for independence without knowing the way it will work, but will be open to being convinced. As for additional powers, generally not though may think differently on specific powers. Link to comment
Donmacca
I'm against it as Salmond wants to cosy up with Brussels and in my opinion the EU and the single currency is a complete shambles. Link to comment
Dandyesque
I'm against it as Salmond wants to cosy up with Brussels and in my opinion the EU and the single currency is a complete shambles. The UK is a shambles as well. Link to comment
Dandyesque
Its a referendum, there's no unsure option. If you're unsure you vote no. Big Man is clearly a fan of the Thatcher school of democracy; "If you don't vote either way, you are counted as agreeing with me" Link to comment
Donmacca
The UK is a shambles as well. Not as much as Europe though. It's the lesser of 2 evils Link to comment
Big Man
What im potentially most excited about post independence, and i think i may even write to Alex Salmond about this, is: i) An elected upper chamber of the Scottish parliament - we should call it the Scottish Senate*ii) A Scottish Supreme Courtiii) A Sovereign Wealth fundiv) A high speed rail line connecting Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeenv) The privatisation of Edinburgh and Glasgow University's, with tuition fees for all Scottish born students being met by the Scottish government (EU and other students can go and fist themselves)vi) The resurgence of a distinctly anti-english jurisprudence againvii) Scottish citizenship tests for illegal aliens wishing to enter our countryviii) Ridiculous american style proceeds of crime legislation [* Senate in a Roman way, not a Ke1t goes to Washington way] Link to comment
Bobby Connor
A football forum populated by mainly 20 somethings with the odd old codger. Practically guaranteed a yes vote! Alex Salmond would kill for a demographic like we have on here! Link to comment

Foster14
Aye, but you're the exception. Not from personal experience, but in the grand scheme of things, I'd agree with what you are saying... Link to comment
russellh
Until its clarified what the situation will be as regards adopting a currency its a no. To many other unanswered questions from salmond and still to much of tartan and heather brigade fantasy to be taken serious, i say that as the SNP have still to give us a credible plan of the process they want so much. Saying that been happy so far with the alot of what they have done at hollrood. Link to comment
rgudon
100% for Independence reasons? Link to comment
Jonty
Aye, but you're the exception. I'm only 30 and voted No / No. Link to comment
Bobby Connor
I'm only 30 and voted No / No. It's not a strict rule. More of a guide. Young lads in their 20s are generally far more up for change than auld wifies. Link to comment
rgudon
Angus Robertson said in Parliament today there are more Pandas in Edinburgh Zoo than Tory MP's in Scotland, that was about the substance of his debate. Main reason I wouldnt vote YES, wouldnt trust these idiots to transition us into Independence. Link to comment

I trust that the Scots are better suited to look after our own business than being beneath our neighbours. When it boils down to it, that's the only question you need to ask yourself: Are the Scots inferior to the English? Yes or No? Link to comment

Guest milne_afc
We'd probably be a right shambles, but a shambles of our own making. I'm all for it. Link to comment
