Invisible Cloak

Aye it is just the stuff of Harry Potter films.

Quote:

'Cloaking in visible light, hiding more complex shapes and materials - that is, a cloak of Harry Potter qualities - remains distant, but Prof Alu pointed out that the steps in the meantime will be put to use'

It's been attempted, and failed badly:

The Philadelphia Experiment

Fuck sake that was 69 years ago.

Technology has moved on since then.

It will happen.

As you seen Einstein was involved in it, there are no brilliant minds on that level in modern day science, he authenticated it, it failed spectacularly (with horror stories of human beings fused to the boat when it re-appeared) and it's never been tried again, nor will it be in our lifetimes.

Bollocks.

Professor Brian Cox pisses over Einstein.

I'm only after serious discussion here.

In a sentence, the latter one, you sum up the vapidity of modern life in a nutshell.

So am I.

I'd be willing to wager that Brian Cox is far more intelligent than that old goat with the white hair.

Anyway.

Pray tell me then "Einstein", if Einstein was involved in it, he authenticated it and it failed spectacularly, why do you then go onto say:

"with horror stories of human beings fused to the boat when it re-appeared"

Surely if it failed spectacularly the boat couldn't have "re-appeared" as for the experiment to have failed it wouldn't have disappeared in the first place.

If it didn't disappear it cannot re-appear. :sherlock:

The boat disappeared, and re-appeared, but not in the same state in which it disappeared, they tried to do it by triggering a mass electro-magnetic field, it half worked, but with human casualties.

Back to the Future is loosely based on it, as some of the soldiers involved never re-appeared, and apparently arrived in an office in New York circa 1980, still in 40's uniform :sherlock:

Where is the evidence to support this ludicrous claim?
