Just finished watching this season on Netflix! Absolutely superb show! Looking forward to catching up with the other seasons! Anyone else watch it?

Tried to watch it and found it to be hackneyed, overwrought pish. Directly copied the stylised action and slo-mo, cartoon violence of 300 and tacked it onto a third rate, overacted script. Watched a couple of episodes and figured it wouldn't be getting any better.

 

Was hoping it would be like Rome.... sadly not even close.

I've seen the original series, the prequal they made without him, when the guy who played Spartacus got ill and now watched the first couple of episodes of the latest series Vengence.

 

They're not to bad a watch.

Plenty shots of tits, ass and fud. Blood and guts etc.

 

Not to sure on the new guy playing Spartacus, but they had to get someone after Andy Whitfield dies at age 39.

Completely agree! Don't know if u seen the first few eps kelt or seem a few mid way through the season? But If I watch a tv series I have to watch it from the very start to get into it.

Agree - good series - a script in iambic pentameter - as well as the gratuitous violence and sex there is quite a plot line going - missed the first episode of the latest series - new Spartacus will take some getting used to and will miss Batiatus as thought the character was wonderful.

Batiatus was a cnt, but a brilliant cnt.

 

I'm hoping they engineer him back in with flashbacks.
