StandFree1982
Anyone see the U19s on the One Show last night? Paul Mealor was trying to find someone to hit a really low note, and they had cameras at Pittodrie where the young players tried hitting the lowest notes they could. They got Angus the bull in on the act as well. Followed up by a story about sea shanty songs from Fraserburgh. Slightly off topic, but it was to do with the Under 19s Link to comment
OneBeboMaguire
Undecided yet, will see how i feel on sunday! Link to comment

Although it should be the first team they should be going to for low notes- they know all about them.... Link to comment

Dynamo
4-1 Celtic at full time. Disappointing but not surprise. Next up will be Banks O' Dee in the shield on Tuesday. Why's it not a surprise? Are our youth teams shite? I don't follow them. Link to comment
Admin Bebo Posted February 12, 2012 Admin Share Posted February 12, 2012 Why's it not a surprise? Are our youth teams shite? I don't follow them. I've not seen the youth team play this season, but in the past few years a lot of the younger players get promoted to play at u19 level, meaning that most of the team are actually playing against older opposition players. RUL
Celtics youth system is far better than ours, isn't it? Link to comment
minijc
Celtics youth system is far better than ours, isn't it?Would expect that given their spend on the youth teams and the added threat of getting fucked by a coach if you perform badly. Link to comment
Admin Bebo Posted February 12, 2012 Admin Share Posted February 12, 2012 Celtics youth system is far better than ours, isn't it? To be honest, youth cup wins and youth league tables don't really portray an accurate view of a development squad / youth system. Link to comment

RUL
To be honest, youth cup wins and youth league tables don't really portray an accurate view of a development squad / youth system. Fergie has the opposite viewpoint, think history shows his approach to it was the right one/? What other view is there, the huns seem to have a good current track record of getting boys other clubs whilst hte diims are pumping everyone. Link to comment
NorthernLights24
Why's it not a surprise? Are our youth teams shite? I don't follow them. The fact they are 12 points ahead of us in the U19 league - http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=s60 The fact that since we beat them in the Youth Cup final back in 2001 they have reached 7 out of the 10 finals while we have reached one and they have beaten us several times during those 10 years. So combining those factors together means I'm not surprised we've been knocked out. Link to comment
RUL
Bit like the full team, need to convert a few of those draws into wins. Link to comment
