Crossbow
Model parent Mulgrew has been picked for the scotland squad because he is excellent apparently. Nothing to do with playing for the OF. Link to comment

Dynamo
Who's Matt Phillips? Born in Bradford or something nae doubt. Link to comment
vanderark14
don't see why he keeps picking Robson instead of the likes of Mccormack Mulgrew is a laughable inclusion, against good opposition he will be destroyed Link to comment
boboisared
Matt Philips is a young English talent tipped for the top. Think Mulgrew will be ripped apart by any half decent winger but fair play to him. Link to comment

Born in Bradford or something nae doubt. boy from blackpool I think Have to admit that even I;m starting to get pissed off with Levein chasing any one in Engerland with a scottish dog so he can cap them sort it out With Fletcher and get MCcormack in and you have your scottish forwards. No James Mcarthur either Robson's time has come and gone Link to comment
OneBeboMaguire
Mulgrew has been excellent this season, well deserved No Considine? Link to comment

Think Mulgrew will be ripped apart by any half decent winger but fair play to him. Mulgrew is well worth a call up, given how rank our defence is. Perhaps we can move on from Caldwell at centre half at long last. Mulgrew has been solid there for Celtic and also brings a deadly set piece to the squad. Another chance to sort this Steven Fletcher nonsense has passed Levein by though. If we start WC campaign without him, it will be an absolute disgrace and completely Levein's fault. Link to comment
vanderark14
Mulgrew has been excellent this season, well deserved No Considine? obviously not and quite right too Link to comment
vanderark14
Scotland could have s striker force of Steven Fletcher and Jordan Rhodes Instead we will have Kenny Miller & Jamie Mackie/CMS :suicide: Link to comment
Crossbow
obviously not and quite right too Mulgrew has only prospered in a defence when it is part of a team of competent players (compared to their opposition) - we all know how he can stand out when left to his own devices. However he'll be good for free kicks. I'd have given Considine a chance - he has been good in our shaky set-up. Link to comment

I agree regarding Mulgrew. one asset though is the set piece but thats not enough at that level. Considine is not good enough but thats not to say he won't be. Now that I'm firmly in the camp of having less or no english players then I'd rather give Mulgrew and Considine a birth Link to comment
tommo1903
Why is Jordan Rhodes not included? Link to comment
vanderark14
Why is Jordan Rhodes not included? just got an answer to that on the TAMB. apparently in the U21's as they have a massive game against the dutch. I'd have kept Hanley and Forrest in the U21's for it too Link to comment
Henry
I'd rather give Mulgrew and Considine a birth Alright, don't labour the point. Link to comment

Mulgrew a better centre half than Caldwell, although so am I. Link to comment

I'll see that he has his knuckles rapped! When I read the title, I thought this was going to be a call up for McNaughton; "Fullback with a clue picked for Scotland" Link to comment

Considine should be in for this one, most improvedx player at Aberdeen over the last 2 seasons, as good if not better than that useless defender Charlie Mulgrew. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
Why does Mulgrew deserve a start ahead of McNaughton? Oh yeah, celtic player & the fact that we're only having 4 SPL players in thesquad Link to comment

spamspamspam
just goes to show how bias Scotland managers are towards OF players. Super Kev has been one of Cardiff's top performers again this season yet doesnt get a sniff. If he signed for Celtic tomorrow though he'd be straight in the squad. I'd say playing in the Championship is a much harder proposition that playing for the OF these days. The old excuse used to be that they got lots of European exposure but that just aint the case these days. Link to comment
dj_bollocks
Sorry but Scotland and scoring goals don't exactly go hand in hand... Mulgrew's ability with a free kick is something in the Scotland arsenal that we haven't really had... I'm happy with him in the squad and I think it's a fair indictment of our club that someone like him was a lazy fuck at AFC and is now arguably one of Ra Sellick's best players this season...
