Foster14
2011/12 shots per SPL website: First column, shots, second column, on target. There must be some very defensive teams in amongs them. Also appears that St. Mirren aren't very good at finishing and Motherwell are... Link to comment

Stoney
Only three teams with fewer shots on target! And two of these have a game in hand. How does this compare with last year. Link to comment
Foster14
Only three teams with fewer shots on target! And two of these have a game in hand. How does this compare with last year. You wish is my command. 2010/11 Aberdeen 292 145 Celtic 533 271 Dundee Utd 316 151 Hamilton 258 125 Hearts 357 173 Hibernian 349 169 Inverness CT 295 155 Kilmarnock 390 210 Motherwell 300 153 Rangers 507 289 St Johnstone 297 126 St Mirren 268 131 We are on course to finish with more shots based on averages, but less on target. I don't know why we would base attacking intent only on shots on target though. The general consensus this season is that we have set out a lot more defensively and create little chances (which I concur with) yet statistics show that we are taking more shots than 5 other teams in the league (compared to prior years where we have ranked in the bottom 3 both years). Arnason's shots from nowhere will help I suppose, but he only replaces Maguire's daft shots last year. Arnason 2011/12 shot stats... Kari Arnason 43 17 Maguire 2010/11 shot stats... Christopher Maguire 57 25 In short, I concur with Dynamo, but I know you like a stat Stoney... Link to comment
The Boofon
What's the header stats? Gives a more realistic perspective to attacking play as you don't get many headers as 35 yard hoofs. The above stats are meaningless without the header stats alongside. Link to comment

tup
We also need own goals stats, St Johnstone for instance have been banging the OG's out of them something chronic. Link to comment

Craigan loves an own goal also. The above stats are meaningless unless you tell us how many own goals Stephen Craigan has scored in games against each team in the SPL. Link to comment
Sheeptastic
I think I saw a stat saying Vernon was the second most clinical finisher in the league when it came to % of chances converted.Remember the source? Would love to have a look at our statistics to see how clinical Vern is compared to other SPL strikers. Link to comment
