King Street Loon
Anyone else see the documentary on BBC1 tonight?Presented by Jim Traynor and basically telling us what we already know, tat Scottish football is a festering bag of dog shit just now. They new this 20 years ago and nothing's changed. There's a debate programme on tomorrow night at the same time presented by Rob McLean. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
What the fuck would Traynor know? He's one of the fuckwits making a living selling the aforementioned shit to the massed Fans of Scum FC. He's one of the dickheads who fight to keep it this shit because he can sell more papers and he doesn't have to produce any genuine journalism. EDIT: They should be making a documentary about how scottish sports journalism is a festering bag of shit. Link to comment

muttonhumper
Knew it was on, was actually looking for something to watch round about that time, but decided on a Celebrity Juice from the planner. In fact, I would have watched anything at all over that.Knew it would be intolerable viewing from the trailers...and the fact that the vacuum heeded, self-styled Jabba the Hut lookalike was the "brains" behind it. Monster
When is Traynor going to come out from behind this 'Airdrie' mask and admit his love for Celtic? People get on at Chick Young but i think Traynor is worse given h Link to comment
Henry
The 'debate' that's on tonight should be more of an eye-opener. May be advisable to watch with nothing throwable in close proximity. Rob Maclean hosts a studio discussion looking at the current state of Scottish football and asking what can be done to improve it. The programme looks at issues such as finance, youth development, pricing and the governance of the game. Panellists include Scotland manager Craig Levein, Hibs chairman Rod Petrie, Falkirk manager Steven Pressley, SFA Chief Executive Stewart Regan and the journalist Jim Traynor. Plus a studio audience of interested parties drawn from across Scottish football Link to comment

I won't watch it. I can tell how it will go already - it will end with them all patting each other on the back and agreeing that we need a strong old firm in scotland Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Interested to see who makes a stand for the nonOF. Yes fully expect to see them get shouted down but if it simply re-emphasises the dictatorial nature of the gruesome it'll help. If it was me my comment would be that we have effectively handed the keys to the OF for the last 20 years and look where it has got us. Time for something new. For the programme last night there was nothing new. Obviously we had de Boer and von bronkey telling us how dutch players show off and can use two feet n'that and don't know what the long ball is but forgot to mention that in the recent world cup final I seem to recall there was only one team that reminded me of Auchinleath Talbot, and it wasn't Spain. However just to prove their point (that with Scottish kids its all about the winning) I loved the wee hibees skank running up and kissing the badge in front of the Hearts bench (two teachers) at the end. Worth it, just for that. Link to comment
tommo1903
It was a load of shite. Some stupid fucker said Aberdeen and Rangers should work together to improve Scottish football. Link to comment

Byrne Baby Byrne
Never heard anything we didnt already know on it. The media and SFA love talking about what needs to be done but when are they actually going to feckin DO it?? Also agree with Pressley (gads) that clubs are just interested in getting their next pay cheque. There is an obsession with a 12 or 10 team SPL so teams can rely on another 3,000 fans through the gates for a home game once or twice a season. Shite. If it was a better league and you werent playing the same teams time after time I'm sure you could rely on more of your own fans coming to games. Will watch the debate tonight - doubt anything will be done. Lets just pretend to be Dutch Link to comment

They do nothing because while they say one thing they actually want to keep it as it is for their own benefit. However shouldn't you be proving what an uber dons fan you are rather than concerning yourself with such things? Link to comment

V for Vendetta
Jim Traynor - game could survive, but not thrive with Rangers. Fuck off. As if this somehow explains anything. What a total cunt. Typical bluster with no real substance. I expect this program to go over the same shite of the last 10 years. Who fucking cares? They are not willing to actually CHANGE anything. Pressley is spot on already. Link to comment
Admin Bebo Posted March 6, 2012 Admin Share Posted March 6, 2012 Jim Traynor - game could survive, but not thrive with Rangers. Fuck off. The game is hardly thriving with the current two horse race as is. Anyway, just switched it on and seen Steven Pressley on the panel. Promptly laughed at the TV and changed the channel over. V for Vendetta
Pressley point to Traynor about how nothing is changed we just move on is 100% correct but Traynor either didn't understand or didn't give a fuck. I think that sums up what this program will be about. Link to comment

V for Vendetta
My last comment on this as I think its just not worth our consideration because these people are total morons. Its the blind leading the blind and people with things to say are lost in the hubbub of dickheads like Young and Traynor who miss the point completely. Anyway what was the point?? errr These twats will go on about all sorts of pish about how kids are more interested in computers and video games they don't play football 10 hours a day etc etc etc. This makes me near piss myself. Really? whats a computer? eh? I mean c'mon to FUCK people lets get a grip and stop talking about utter nonsense regarding todays society blah blah whatever. Thats missing the fucking point surely. The point CANNOT BE that basically this is 2012 and not 1972. I mean really? The point is nothing to do with societal change as if thats somehow wrong or lamentable - its to do with the utter stagnation of football in this country in this period. HAHAHHAHAHAHHA Traynor is trotting out some stupid anecdotal made up reason as if thats evidence!! These people are unreal. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
normally can't stick Pressley but he's spoken sense so far Pressly and Wotte are talking about principles. Things you build and work to achieve. The others want to put that aside because they can think of 1 example where they imagine that might not apply - and this is taken as a reason to put all principle aside. People that thick should not be given a say - they have no idea how to have a vision and build something. Link to comment
The Oxford Don
Pressely and Rod Petrie from Hibs the only ones talking sense at the moment (well, the Dutch boy Wotte was ok as well, but anyone else get the feeling that he's fighting a losing battle...?) Jim Traynor has also just told us that football has become a middle-class sport and working-class kids can no longer afford to play it. Absolute cuntmongery. Link to comment

You see this sort of thing is exactly my point. The real issues are not addressed because nonsense like this is thrown about. What a load of utterly irrelevant bollocks. The Oxford Don
Tell you what, by fuck I'd be happy with Rod Petrie representing our club. Guy talks a lot of sense. And Christ, here comes Pressley with another pertinent point. I'm in grave danger of starting to like the guy... Link to comment
