We are organising this dinner as our second event.

It will be held at the Treetops.

The main speaker is Tommy Docherty

The comedian is Jimmy Bright

The compere is the King, Joey Harper.

Unfortunately it's the day of my wedding which would mean a good proportion of the lads who I'm mates with who would normally go can't.

 

I'll donate again though to help out.

We have it in our own hands to help in a small way to help the club. Even just spreading the news is a help.

We are getting the charity status finalised (what a job with OSCR!) and thereafter we will have the charity bank account. Any donations thereafter we can get via gift aid and get even more dosh for the cause.

 

I will provide full details once we have them.

Guys a wee update.

 

 

The dinner is gathering pace and whilst it is proving more difficult than usual to shift tables we are getting there. A number of reasons for this:

 

Denis Law has a dinner on the same weekend and there are two other dinners that weekend, so I've seen 10 certain buyers not able to attend.

General apathy with regards to the Dons and the Semi Final didn't help, but such is life. I was daft enough to think we might have the Scottish Cup make an appearance on the night.

We set our sights at 45 table sales but it will be nearer the 25-30 mark.

 

Anyway, the positives:

 

 

Thanks to Ollie 1903 for shifting two tables.

 

London Scottish is doing sterling work on the auction front and by the way will be my guest on the night, in case any of you keyboard warriors want a word LOL

 

We are getting donations from folk who cannot attend.

 

 

 

We have sacked the charitable status approach as OSCR was just too bloody difficult, so a company limited by guarantee is being formed and once it has I can get the bank account opened.

 

 

So if you want to help:

 

Tell people about the dinner;

Make up a table with a group of mates and if the cost of
