RUL
Inaccurate you mean or what? Not really used it, was wondering how Hampden sales were going but wouldn't let me view them. Link to comment
OddJob
If those numbers are indeed accurate then that tells a sad story. I remember i think it was maybe JC's 2nd season and the numbers i was hearing was over 9,000 Link to comment
OneBeboMaguire
boring fanbase so of course there's going to be rarely any season ticket holders. we just turn up to watch celtic or rangers Link to comment

More so boring, overpriced, unimaginative football. Link to comment

Stoney
Wow if thats the case than some of the games over the last few months could have had as few as 500-1000 paying aberdeen fans through the gate, by the time you take away free tickets and away fans. Link to comment

Dynamo
this along with an uncompetitive league it was an uncompetitive league when we were getting 13k under Calderwood and our 14k average in 2001/2002. The league has nothing to do with it. Our performances and results do. Link to comment

Dynamo
EDIT - have crowds not been falling across the board in recent years? Depends what you refer to as recent years? I'd say crowds are directly linked to league position and results. I imagine Hearts' will have been fairly consistent, as is their league performances, and I imagine ourselves and Hibs' will have plummeted, as have our league positions. Link to comment
StandFree1982
That's more than it will be for season 2012/13I think this will depend on how we do in the Scottish Cup. If we win it, there will be an increase in numbers (surely...) Link to comment

Motherwell don't really have much of a fan base. 5530, this year, 5255 last year. 5% increase. Link to comment

Site Sponsor RTYD Posted March 27, 2012 Site Sponsor Share Posted March 27, 2012 We knock it about ok at times, we aren't as long ball as in previous times however there's often nowhere to go, we pass in squares and folk confuse defensive tactics with poor football. One and the same as far as I am concerned. We need to win and entertain. They go hand in hand. Link to comment
K-9
We don't have a great team but when set out to attack we can actually look not bad. Link to comment
gypsymuffin
We don't have a great team but when set out to attack we can actually look not bad. Agreed, lets hope we do that in all our remaining games, especially the semi. Link to comment
ollie1903
That's more than it will be for season 2012/13I think, sadly, that is true. I think this will depend on how we do in the Scottish Cup. If we win it, there will be an increase in numbers (surely...)Again, I wouldn't bank on it. I think the seasoned fans are being driven away in large numbers. A cup win and more incentives would help, but only the chance of seeing some semi decent entertainment and battling at the top end of the league on a fairly consistent basis will any kind of numbers return. There may be a wee surge of new/returning fans owing to a cup win but they would definitely be outnumbered by the amount who have been turned off in my opinion. Link to comment
kramer
It seems we lost about 1000 fans during the McGhee era. Over 2000 down on a similar season in 02/03 average attendances Link to comment
