Karl Fletcher
Hiring Mark McGhee as Manager. I wanted it to work so much but I quiver when I think back to that era. What a fucking disaster it was from the get go. Punting Billy Dodds to Dundee United. The Jutes make Link to comment

Redstar
Sacking Alex Smith... for allowing the club to slip to mid-table after taking the Huns to the last match of the season to decide the league the season previous...Changed days...Broons would be held as some sort of hero if he got us up to mid table! Obviously the appointment of Craig Broon as Manager of AFC Link to comment

Ke1t
Handing Calderwood a three and a half year contract then sacking him about a year into it... because, you know, so much had changed in that time... Bringing back Derek Young. Repeatedly giving Mackie contracts. The Dick End. Spending 600k on a feasibility study when the club had no money to buy a stadium anyway. Blaming the fans for the club's decline. Alienating the Ultras, the club's most vocal and passionate section of the support. Bending over and allowing Rangers to charge 5% protection money on away tickets. Allowing Stewart Milne onto the Board of Aberdeen Football Club. Hiring an alcoholic for a manager. Hiring Alex Miller as manager and allowing him to continually fuck off to his Scotland job to the detriment of AFC. Promising to build a new stadium when you don't even own the land you said you were going to build on. Allowing a drinking culture amongst players. A million quid for Bernard. 100k for Tommy Wright. Signing Nigel Pepper. Not investing after the group stages of Europe. Demanding Paterson sign only low-wage journeymen.,, a policy that saw us very nearly relegated. Not addressing a manageable debt, and allowing it to spiral out of control. Failure to garner any investment at all. Pissing away share issue money. The Billy Dodds swap deal. Repeatedly announcing 'Links' with African/Egyptian teams and promising 'The cream of their talent'... then doing fuck all to follow up.. making them look like they're either very stupid or just flat out liars. Allowing Rangers back into the SPL (just anticipating AFC's betrayal of the fans) Not sacking McGhee IMMEDIATELY after the 9-0 debacle and appointing an interim management team from within the club. Not sacking Calderwood IMMEDIATELY after the QotS debacle and appointing an interim management team from within the club. Reds & Co Link to comment

Not sacking McGhee IMMEDIATELY after the 9-0 debacle and appointing an interim management team from within the club. Reds & Co Take issue with them. Young wasn't great, but there are far far far worse signings than him. Wouldnt have sacked him immediately, I would have waited until a successor was in place before telling him to fuck off. They didn't do that either. Whats Reds & Co? Link to comment

Not sacking Calderwood IMMEDIATELY after the QotS debacle and appointing an interim management team from within the club. Although i agree with both of those i would like to add that the squads involved in those results should also have had their contracts ripped up and shoved up their colective arses, with the exception of any under 21 players. Redstar
Your gimmick on here is quite boring now, it was funny for about a (at a push) couple of weeks, but now it's not really funny - you need something new.Gimmick?...What response would you expect from me...given the thread title...The club will not move forward one inch as long as Broon is at the helm...he's the original "nightwatchman",to borrow a cricketing term...defensive in the extreme and only there for a limited period. ollie1903
Worst transfer in the history of the club imo (although Tommy Wright definitely is thereabouts)Dodds and Winters have very comparable records as AFC players. And I would even say Winters was a better all round footballer. What was ridiculous though, was the 750k or thereabouts we gave to Utd to enable us to look back and compare those records.
