King Street Loon
Tesco in Westhill was a joke today. My car showed zero miles left in the tank before I went offshore last week. And when I went to fill it up today I encountered mass hysteria on the forecourt and cars queuing out to the roundabout. It's nuts, you gain no benefit in filling up to the brim just now.You run out, you run out. Link to comment
NorthernLights24
What is utterly brilliant about the whole situation is the unions have to give 7 days notice of a strike, which they haven't done so yet Link to comment
tutankamun
Everytime I encounter a petrol station I stop and top up my tank. Plus I have 100 litres of fuel stashed in my garden shed, right next to my BBQ. Link to comment
Dynamo
Anyone on here who has 'panic bought' is an idiot and its you that is causing the problem. Do you realise the strikers give 7 days notice and the next talks aren't even taking place til the weekend AT THE EARLIEST. What the government were playing at yesterday no one knows. Extra pennies in the bank before the end of the tax year?? Link to comment

All part of the ineptness of Cameron and co. Quicker the referendum/general election comes round the better. Link to comment
OddJob
I filled up the tank yesterday morning but i had to as i was practically empty. I certainly wouldn't be panic buying that's for sure, as you say Dynamo they're bloody idiots Link to comment

granite sheep
It's just a way of the government to get more public opinion against the unions.Funny you should mention that, on BBC Breakfast today, the Minister For Energy got torn a new one by the presenter, conversation went a bit like this:Presenter: So, who is at fault for the crisis at the country's pumps?Minister: RARG EVIL TRADE UNIONS, LOONY LEFTIES, ETC, ETCPresenter: I think you'll find that it wasn't the unions that went out yesterday and told everyone to fill up jerrycans, and top up their fuel tanks, wasn't it?Minister: ah....er......uh..... (shocked realisation on the minister's coupon as he realises that he's been owned by BBC News)Viewers round the country- :hysterical: Link to comment

robbo
heard a brilliant conspiracy theory earlier today. were coming to the end of a financial quarter and uk spending was down from projected figures. so somebody in power mentions "possible fuel strikes" and the key phrase which is guaranteed to do the opposite - "dont panic". as soon as people heard dont panic, they went out and spent hundreds of thousands on fuel that wasnt really needed but will have likely put actual spending closer to the projections. ive got maybe 1/5 of my tank left so i was planning on topping up soon but all the bastard pump near me are empty. see if i have to get the fucking bus to work till i can get petrol...heads will roll Link to comment

It's natural selection. Natures way of cutting out the weak from the strong.
