Where Are They Now

Seems to have done well out on loan, be worth a look in next season surely? Can't be worse than McLennan

Will be interesting to see how Ryan Duncan develops after his Peterhead stint, and how many creative players Goodwin brings in this summer which might stunt his development.

Is he ready to step into the breach and challenge for a 1st team place?

Or might another year out on loan, maybe in the Championship at the likes of Cove, to give him 30 odd games, be better than getting the odd 10 minutes here and there at Pittodrie?

Is he seen as being at a similar stage in his development as Barron or slightly behind?

If it's the former then he should be part of the squad next season. He can leapfrog ahead of the likes of McLennan and Kennedy. Plus Watkins is so injury prone that he'd get plenty of minutes.

If he doesn't get game time he can always go out on loan at Xmas for the second half of the season.

Personally I'd give him a run in the team, Barron showed he was able to handle the step up from League 2 to our midfield (granted we've been pish).

Rather give young talented academy lads a chance in the first team than clog up team up with shite like JET or Montgomery for example. Would most likely be cheaper on wages too

So we are targeting a midfielder and a goalkeeper who can’t get a game in League 1. Fantastic. Good times must be right round the corner

The amount of pant pishing about him on here before he signed for Wigan too - he was made out to be the messiah when he was linked with us.

Don’t think anyone was making him to be the messiah.

Goodwin was getting the best out of him at St Mirren to the point he’d just become a full international. He’d definitely improve our starting 11 if he were here playing as well as he did for St Mirren, and he’s the right age with potential resale value.

Usually I’d be thinking we should be telling to fuck right off after messing us about in summer, but we are such a disgrace at the moment I don’t think we’re in a position to discount him if he’s available.

There were plenty. Even the season his stats were 'impressive' it was massively skewed with penalties. So...hes a good pen taker.

You think the only reason he's now got a handful of caps for Ireland because he takes a good penalty?

We will need someone to replace Ferguson on pens if he goes in summer as well. So another reason we should probably be looking at McGrath again.

No not doubting he looked decent for St Mirren. But hes not the world beater most made him out to be on here. A good dependable SPFL player which is about the level ROI should realistically be looking at.
