Spl Fan Surveys

Recommended Posts

We have developed a site to gauge reaction from Scottish football fans on the current situiation regarding RFC.

The site is www.splsurvey.co.uk and twitter account is twitter.co./splfansurveys

We have had over 7000 responses since the site went live yesterday at 1300 and the media are taking an interest in the results with BBC Reporting Scotland showing a sample of feeling last night.

We need your help in getting the voice of Scottish fans out there to our clubs about how we feel so the more responses we get the better.

Can you help us by raising awareness and if you are members on other boards then start a thread on our behalf with links to our site.

You could also contact us direct at info@splsurvey.co.uk your support is appreciated.

This was excellent to hear on sportsound. It fairly shut Chick Young up as well.

I also have to say well done to Jim Spence - he is turning into a bit of a legend in all this just by sticking to his guns and making sure non OF fans have a say. You can tell Chick just rankles every time Jim speaks.

cliff notes V as I missed it tonight?

Spencey was running the show and basically continued to give a voice to non OF fans. They had the chaps running the OP survey on as well.

He also had a pop at the Glasgow media and how biased they are. Chick really didn't like that and made a complete hash of trying to outsmart Jim with his "of course the Scottish media are mostly based in Glasgow" Pish. Aye good one chick that's not the point that was made - they can be based in Glasgow and still report facts instead of barefaced lies produced by OF PR companies.

They had someone else on talking about how the other teams used to pull just as big crowds as the old firm and pointed out we now officially have the second LEAST competitive football league in Europe. (not sure who this guest was)

65% of Huns want straight back in. Clear majority, so the decision is easy for the SPL.

This is all good - we need to make fan power work and the only way to do this is threaten withdrawal of our support.

People need to realise that when the OF or SPL threaten less money from TV if its a fairer league or less money if Rangers newco are not let back in that has to be taken in balance against less money from fans of all other clubs.

Until this survey was put out there only the SPL and OF threats were given any credence and people were scared of the potential loss of income.

Well they all need to wake up and smell the coffee because if SPL fans withdraw their support then the SPL will feel that much harder than the loss of a few games against the OF or a bit more money from Sky.

Now as the media constantly give us the mantra that money must make the final decision time after time lets make it really clear what the financial cost of destroying integrity and continuing to allow a cartel to operate for the betterment of 2 clubs only.

Then lets see these morons make the money is the most important factor argument.

I like this, pretty much a resounding "fuck you" to Rangers and these new garbage proposals for financial fair play. They haven't listened to the fans about league reconstruction but surely when they have evidence like this, it cannot be ignored. If it wasn't for us, the fans, there wouldn't even be a league/clubs etc.

Seems they are starting to listen.

I can now reveal I have been invited to a meeting at Hampden on Tuesday 24th April with Neil Doncaster & Iain Blair the SPL's Operations Directot to discuss the survey results.

The survey closes at 1800 Monday response so far has been great just short of 13,500 can we have a massive push to try to get it past 15,000 by the time it closes.

Thanks for the support.
