End Of Season Report Card.

Recommended Posts

Let's start with the old man in charge - an ex-teacher I believe

"Struggles with basic ideas - does not listen to encouraging suggestions - fantasises about goalkeepers."

"I fear that unless he is given individual attention and encouragement he will repeat his previous errors and not develop his side or go out and try to win. An easier solution might be to dispense with him altogether and find someone (much) younger and braver."

Season highlight - cup win at Motherwell, Foster leaving and we got money!

Season lowlight - semi final disappointment again! Was my last game of this season, and the final straw for me and Brown - it was his last chance saloon for me and he fucking blew it - now with another year of him in charge I'm doubtful about buying a season ticket.

Manager's report card (with a mark out of 10) 3, and that's being generous and only for ridding us of Foster, Mackie. Defensive, shite football, no tactical nouse, plays players out of position, squad inbalanced, embarrassing "keeper didnt have save to make" pish....fuck it...make that 3 a 1!!

Player of the season - probably Considine, would've been Arnason for first half of season.

Expectations for next season - too early to say, but one thing is for sure.....Brown wont change, so dour football that's pish to watch. If he surprises us and signs 4 good SPL stanfard players, then maybe push for Europe, but he doesn't set teams up to attack so probably not.

What needs to be on the club's summer shopping list? IF its the 4 players Brown has spoken about....Centre half, left winger, nippy striker, and a player thats comfortable at full back & centre back

What was the worst moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season? Every second in which Neil Lennon draws breath

And what was the best moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season? THE easiest question.....Rangers FC and their capitulation.....The SPL chairman just need to finish them off....but sadly won't and inevitably the loathsome cunts will be in the SPL next season...hope to be wrong

If we were at school we'd have to repeat the year for being the class spaz...

We'd be removed from regular school and sent to the school where all the club-footed retards go.

Feel bus for Aberdeen Football Club!

Season highlight - Being unbeaten well into 2012.

Season lowlight - Semi Final Choke.

Manager's report card (with a mark out of 10) - 3 - Didn't get us relegated. Speaking skills awful and at times enraging. Must keep quiet and do work silently.

Player of the season - Jason Brown, A goalkeeper who improved into the squad and saved us many points. Knows his own weaknesses in coming out of area.

Expectations for next season - same old - 9th - just enough points to keep out of relegation battles.

What needs to be on the club's summer shopping list? - Good players.

What was the worst moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season? - Every single one of them barring below.

And what was the best moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season? - Rangers going into administration.

The bounce at Ibrox when Karis goal went in

Season lowlight

Hibs or East Fife...I'll go with Hibs.

Manager's report card (with a mark out of 10)

Made two really good signings all season, for about half the season before being pish (Arnasson) or just on loan (Reynolds), and two good signings that are injured more often than not (Osbourne, Anderson). Players constantly played out of position, complete failure to address glaring problems of width, signing of Mawene, Gonzales, Chalali, Uchechi, Clark and Langfield all terrible, Fallon is a tiny shade better than the aforementioned, but still pish. The only faint praise I can give him is that he got shot of a few shite players at the start of the season, managed to get money for Ricky Foster, and that we were a wee bit more difficult to beat than previous seasons.

3.5

Player of the season

Andy Considine - led by example, didnt have two bad games together. Even played ok at left back as well. Finally come on, happy to see him with a 3 year deal. Honourable mentions to Ryan Jack & Scott Vernon.

Expectations for next season

What should happen is that, with Rangers being weak, St Johnstone losing all of their players, Motherwell probably losing their manager (can see McCall moving down south), Hearts downsizing, we should be aiming to finish at least 4th and winning a cup.

What I expect to happen is us to narrowly miss out on top 6 glory after a season of cup disappointment, playing players out of position and general apathy.

What needs to be on the club's summer shopping list?

A left back to start regularly, 2 wingers (one to start every week, the other to compete with Pawlett, Fraser etc for the other spot), a nippy wee striker to play alongside Vernon. Back up at centre half is also required.

What was the worst moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season?

Neil Lennons postie smelling the petrol  *

And what was the best moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season?[/u

Probably Killie beating the Tims in the League Cup. I'd like to say the huns going into administration, but the whole thing has fucked me off no end.

*Millertime, before you start it was a fucking joke. I dont wish death on anybody

Season lowlight - Langfield contract extension

Manager's report card (with a mark out of 10) - Must do better...but appears absolutely incapable of doing so. Does not have a clue what he is doing. 2/10

Player of the season - Jack

Expectations for next season - Unlimited tedium and frustration.

What needs to be on the club's summer shopping list? - Manager

Season highlight

Arnason's bounce at United or the at Ibrox, was incredible for the whole 240 seconds it lasted.

Season lowlight

Being so inept in cup situation. The hard work of binning Motherwell to all be undone at Hampden. East Fife was a joke.

Manager's report card (with a mark out of 10)

3. Despite working with utter shit, he has signed Clark and Mawene. Called Chalali the best trialist he has ever seen and then hardly gave him a chance, I didn't rate Mo that much but he atleast deserved a chance. He gave Fallon a bucket load of chances and he is the laziest cunt, except Motherwell in the cup and Celtic at Pittodrie, and most immobile cunt ever.

Player of the season

So hard, surely Jack. Vernon was pretty balls after awarded new deal.

Expectations for next season

Pushing for 2nd, but I am sure someone will be quick to tell me to stop having unrealistic expectations.

What needs to be on the club's summer shopping list?

2 full backs. 2 wide midfielders and a good striker.

What was the worst moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season?

How the badly the Rangers situation has been handled.

And what was the best moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season?

The final whistle last Saturday.

Sorry, just had to pick u up on one thing - Jason Brwon player of the year because he "saves us many points"

Got to disagree

He was average at best and I could give you 5 or 6 examples off the top of my head where he looked suspect and was partially or fully to blame.

His tweets and post match antics help mask his deficiencies in a lot of fans eyes in my opinion.

a decent bloke by the sounds of it, but a very limited keeper, and is incredibly slow at getting down to low shots, and his positioning is suspect.

Been saying this a while. His patter etc pulls the wool over some peoples eyes.

Semi final defeat :suicide:

Manager's report card (with a mark out of 10)

3/10. For a while had us all starting to believe things had changed for the better when we went unbeaten for ages, but still not good enough for me. needs his jotters asap.

Player of the season

Andy Considine/Ryan Jack

Expectations for next season

If we still have Brown in charge, much of the same pish. Relegation battle. If some change/ambition/investment is introduced, european places.

What needs to be on the club's summer shopping list?

Keeper, full backs (at least 2), wingers (at least 2), Goal scorer, Link up player to play up-front, playmaker.

What was the worst moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season?

This whole Rangers saga. For all our league was pish before, this farce has made us look 10 times worse. Ridiculous.

And what was the best moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season?

Derek Adams getting manager of the year/Ross County being promoted/ Hearts knocking out Celtic to make it a non old firm final

The second half at Tannadice at New Year.

Season lowlight

The Scottish Cup Semi Final

Manager's report card (with a mark out of 10)

3/10: Improved the defence, but failed to address the attack, which meant no improvement. 9th place is totally unacceptable.

Player of the season

Andrew Considine - looked solid in the majority of games he played and seems to have matured a lot as well.

Expectations for next season

It looks as if Craig Brown has finally realised that the attack needs to be addressed. This time last season, so much surgery needed to be carried out on the squad. We needed to sharpen up the defence and build a core to the team, which we managed with the likes of Arnason, Osbourne and later on Rae and Anderson. Now that there is less to concentrate on, he should get it right.

Even with the right attacking players brought in though, I fear that we still have too many injury-prone players and that Craig Brown will be tempted to play the likes of Clark out wide again. I reckon we'll be mid-table, either just making or just missing out on the top six next season.

What needs to be on the club's summer shopping list?

1 x centre back, 1 x left back, 2 x wide men, 1 x nippy striker - and that's the minimum required.

What was the worst moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season?

This has been a pretty shite season all round. The league was won by a margin of 20 points, a team that was deducted 10 points still comfortably finished 2nd, pishy little clubs like Motherwell and Dundee United and maybe even St Johnstone qualified for Europe (and will more than likely be knocked out at the first hurdle further bringing down the co-efficient) and the team that got promoted went straight back down again.

I wouldn't say that Rangers going into administration has been a good thing at all. I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of hearing about it, and yet again all the focus is on them. Even in the week leading up to one of the most intriguing cup finals in years, they are still dominating the headlines.

And what was the best moment in Scottish football of the 2011/12 season?

As I've said above, this has been a pretty shite season, so I don't think there really was one. The performance of the Scotland u21 team maybe, played very well in both games against Holland. Looking promising for the future, especially when so many from the last group of u21s became too old after the last campaign.
