Hey,

 

Thought it would be interesting to poll the members here to rate all the 11/12 season players to find out who we think are our best players, what areas need strengthening etc in a semi-statistical way. Was thinking we could rate 1-10, with the ratings being 'calibrated' roughly like this:

 

10 - Best in SPL

9 - Best in SPL

8 - Good for SPL

7 - Good for SPL

6 - Average for SPL

5 - Average for SPL

4 - Poor for SPL

3 - Poor for SPL

2 - Worst in SPL

1 - Worst in SPL

 

So if you were a championship team (celtic) your top 11 players are probably going to average at about 9-10, if you were a relegated team (dunfermline) your top 11 would probably average 4-5. Aberdeen should probably be aiming for a top 4 finish with players rated between 7 and 8?

 

I'll start. If you think this would be fun/interesting give it a go and I'll find some time to average them all out and then we can discuss what this means for the summer transfers. Please try to be as objective as possible, overly emotional responses may need to be rejected in pursuit of statistical accuracy

Because of that dirty hun cunt he only played half the season though. Did well before that, thats why he got an 8 from me but he didnt play the same amount of games as Jack who, IMO, was our best player this year and with that the only player deserving of a decent score for his whole season.

 

Considine and Robertson got 7's because of their improvement this season as did Reynolds for solidifying our defence.

 

Arneson only got a 6 because he was OK to pap. Every game I went to I was expecting something from him because of the hype on here and in the papers but all i saw was a distinctly average player playing distinctly average fitba.
