Agreed...but Dick Donald was the Chairman when Paul was at the club...I can't think of many who have played under the Milne stewardship that would be so complimentary.

my favourite player of that era, always positive , got forward , good engine , good passer with a rapier like shot i recall a goal he scored against hearts in a 5-2 win at pittodrie i was sat in the south stand right behind it, bent it in top corner,

i really feel that he could've played international level too.

but at that timer the England midfield had the likes of Gascoigne, barnes, Waddle, Platt, Beardsley, i hinestly don't think he would have been out of place in that company,
