New Kit Price

Recommended Posts

Was looking at the new kit to get for the bairns and noticed the price!!!! why is it the kids top is 40 quid the same as a adults top? so i looked around mostly english teams i.e Swansea kids top 35 quid looked at Stoke City again 35 quid ok they get a hell of a lot more money than us but its the same deal we have and then i remembered Hearts are Adidas this season so went on there site and you can get the top for 32 quid!! you would think they would price it a little better to sell more kits!!!!!!

That is pretty stupid.

I think you could have potentially answered your own question.

However, (just from looking at Hearts' away kit) Adidas have put approx. 1% effort into their kit. My presumption is that the fine sportingwear brand that is /// realised where to release a quality product. Namely the club that has won double the amount of European Trophies than all the Scottish Clubs that still exist ( :) ) put together.

Think it'll have more to do with the kit Aberdeen pick to use than their negotiation skills.

Like everything there will be differences in quality and costs from the design. AFC have probably picked one of the more expensive ones knowing they are not catering for aids ridden cunts or unwashed rat eating bastards.

This is undoubtedly what has happened...some gype at the club will have come up with this and probably received employee of the month for his visionary thinking...blatant over-pricing...I'd give Dom Littlewood a shout he's good at righting the wrongs in "Rip-off Britain"

If you look on almost every site that sells kits the kids tops are always 5-10 quid cheaper!!! i got my 3 kids, 3 spain kits and 3 scotland away kits the spain lot came to 160 quid and scotland 145 quid after i found a 10% off code online for sportsdirect, there both Adidas scotland top 28 quid aberdeen top 40 which you going to buy???

That is pretty crap, considering you dont pay VAT on kids clothing.

That is why other clubs have cheaper prices for kids shirts they are passing on the saving of not paying the VAT to the customer.

AFC are taking the piss by charging the same as an adult shirt, then pocketing the saving of not paying VAT for themselves.

Disgraceful...whilst AFC appear to be taking the moral high-ground in respect to punishment handed down to the club formerly known as Rangers due to Tax avoidance...they seem to be only to happy to use any tax avoidance loophole to rip off their own support...a clear case of shocking double standards

This makes no sense.

I haven't purchased an Aberdeen top since I bought the black A-Fab one years ago.

It's not my cup of tea, and feel we're ripped off for kits. When I want a fitba top just for kicking about in, I'll go to that cheap site from Hong Kong as they are pretty much the real deal.

And what site might that be, Roberto?

I mean, obviously I wouldn't condone the trade of illegal merchandise, just for information purposes so I know to avoid it :sherlock:

If I were happy with my club, and thought it was being run by a competent board, I'd have no problem spending 100 quid on a strip for my loon, on the understanding that the vast majority of that money was going towards the club, particularly the team.

Unfortunately we know what AFC does with money.

I'll be getting RedTV, based upon the NO Vote that was forced upon the club, I'll save any merch purchases until I find out what's happening with the Newco.

If they're in the 1st Div in a month's time I'll be ditching Scottish Football and following the MLS or English Football permanently... I'll leave Scottish football to people who like watching pantomime.

In fact, if the Newco is allowed into the 3rd Division without needing to even follow the rules to do so then Scottish fitba is more or less dead to me.

and thats ridiculous

youre turning your back on AFC, even though we have did the right thing?

imagine everyone did this

It's not ridiculous in the slightest.

If a competition is fixed I'm not going to waste my time following it, regardless if I happen to have a favourite team or competitor.

For some it may be acceptable, and that's their perogative, but for me there are other leagues that I can follow where the 'competition' isn't played out to a pre-determined conclusion. If that were my bag I could go down to Cobo with all the rednecks and watch the WWF Steroid-monkeys smash chairs over each other's heads on a weekend. And I'd be allowed to drink beer and fire a gun in the air into the bargain.

But, no, turning one's back on a corrupt system is hardly ridiculous. In fact it could be argued that continuing to follow and support said corrupt system is more than ridiculous, it's enabling.
