As a fan of Aberdeen FC and Scottish football in general, I find your actions increasingly detrimental to the survival of our game. It's clear from your continued interjections on the Sevco 5088 fiasco that your priorities lie solely with the survival of one club alone and not with the general well-being of the rest of the clubs in the SPL, never mind the integrity of the game in which they play. The SPL proposals currently being "considered" by the SFL clubs make it clear that the rules of the game simply do not apply to Sevco 5088, and one wonders what would happen if your little scheme came to fruition, but Sevco 5088 did not manage to win the first division in the first season. Would the rules be changed again to shoehorn Sevco 5088 into the SPL for the 2013/14 season? If Sevco 5088 finish in 8th place in the first division, would we see 8 teams relegated from the SPL just to get make sure Sky get their four helpings of sectarian hatred the next season? It sounds ridiculous, but your actions thus far prove nothing is beyond the realms of possibility when it comes to ensuring the SPL has a team calling itself Rangers.

 

If the SPL's survival hinges entirely on the presence of one club, then I think it's fair to say you have spectacularly failed in your job, and for that - if for no other reason, despite there being numerous - you should resign. Resign before your hand is forced by the uproar from football fans throughout the country.

 

You're a disgrace to football and we don't want you here. Even if Sevco 5088 are denied entry to the SPL and first division, your continued presence in the SPL will remain proof that corruption exists in the Scottish game. Scottish football fans will not rest until our game is free of the cancer that is Neil Doncaster.

And its not just Doncaster its the SPL itself and the SFA. And that means the member clubs of both the SPL and SFA, including our own are to blame.

 

I think most people see only 2 real options:

 

1). Put up with the blatant corruption and bias as a natural extension of the previously quietly hidden corruption and bias. ie just turn a blind eye and keep supporting your own club.

 

2). Walk away from senior Scottish football forever. Support a Junior or Highland league team or something but in essence close the door and draw the curtains on having anything to do with professional Scottish Football.

 

I don't blame people for taking either approach, its all down to individual tolerance for such things.
