Arbroath V Aberdeen

Recommended Posts

They possibly deserve a few bob off of us for being the latest Club to say 'No' to the Huns at least :thumbup1:

The Board of Arbroath Football Club met on Wednesday evening to further discuss the present crisis in Scottish football and the impending Special General Meeting of the Scottish Football League Clubs on Friday the 13th of July. After considerable and careful deliberation, that had also taken place over many previous meetings, the Club reached the decision that it cannot support a proposal for Rangers Newco to be directly admitted to Division 1 of the Scottish Football League and that sporting integrity must be upheld. We are however in support of entry to the Scottish Football League in Division 3 for next season. The Club is extremely grateful to the large number of stakeholders and supporters who took time to contact the Club and express their views, which we felt very important in assisting us to make an extremely difficult judgement. In reaching our decision, Arbroath Football Club is fully aware of the possible financial implications and therefore wishes to take this opportunity to stress the importance of supporting the Club at this time and in the future. Finally, Arbroath Football Club wishes to acknowledge the considerable efforts being made by David Longmuir and the Scottish Football League Management Committee in representation of the 30 Clubs during these difficult times.

Wouldnt have mind going down but have other plans.

Anyway, if weather stays like this then good luck. Remember going to Arbroath few years back (calderwoods 1st or 2nd season cana mind) and it was thee coldest stadium i have ever been in. Is the north sea not right next to it haha?

Another awesome declaration from Arbroath.

I was thinking of going but the costs for me to get down and the fact it is only a friendly has put me off. I'll probably go to Cove-Forfar instead.

Is The Bell Rock Chipper still open as that would probably sway me to say yes.

Might be the only chance to watch my senior team in a game that is not in a competition that will be rigged to the benefit of twa arse cheeks, if ye ken fit I mean

The Round O was an ace chippie. Is that still open?

It's now a gay bar.

Do they still sell chips?

Many a good lunchtime was spent wandering up to the Round O before heading back to the training school when I was in my youth.

Except on a Wednesday when the training school had a dynamite curry on for lunch.

Wednesday night at the Olympia bar / squash courts eyeing up the ladies playing squash while having a few pints using fake ID.

Happy fucking days. I might fly home for this match just for nostalgia purposes.

When is it?

I favour the bevvie, so no doubt that'll win out.

Yeah I turned to the darkside and moved into the office.

I've inherited your place of work.

Lots of fun coming up with the shutdown!

When you back out, or are you onboard just now?

I'm offshore just now. Can you sort Kirk oot please. He keeps sending me fucking emails and most of them also have an email from you attached!

round O chipper is still there. Not as good as it used to be but peppos along the harbour is the dogs danglers for a fish supper :applause:

going to nip along to gayfield to take this in, Sheerin has Arbroath playing really good football but they lost Swankie and young CM Josh Falkingham, both good players and I think they will struggle this season. Reckon we will put a good few past them. Will be good to see a near full strength team from us out aswell. United beat them 4-0 on Tuesday with near strong team.
