No...Gavin Rae was given an 18 month deal...so not really short term for a player in his mid 30's...about 12 months too long...what he was probably getting confused with was the deal Anderson signed where he was signed to the end of last season to prove himself...they've both got blond hair and to an auld mannie could be mistaken for each other

I seem to recall similar confusion when Hughes signed. There were contradictory reports of long and short deals at the time.
