fine-n-dandy
Our defensive ROCK! is back.He stays fit we will have a very good season. That is all. Link to comment
MincePie
He was immense today, never gave them a sniff. Shame his (and the rest of the team's) hard work was undone by the useless cunt Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
Both Anderson and Considine had excellent games... Agreed, which just makes me even more depressed to think what a pairing they would be now if Anderson hadn't gone & Diamond had. I know it was always going to happen but what a shame it did Link to comment
SkyeDon
He was absolutely outstanding. I hope to god he'll stay fit and form a partnership with Considine. Link to comment
ollie1903
If we can get the guts of a full season out of Anderson, Considine, Naysmith and a.n. other right back consistently playing together, i think they could possibly become the best defensive unit in the league. If only we could be shot of the curly wigged, floppy shoed circus act as our last line Link to comment

Yeah if we knew they'd both stay fit then we don't need Reynolds & could use the wage that must be set aside for him for a more exciting forward player but that would be a massive gamble given that it's unlikely that Anderson will stay fit. I just hope that Anderson plays more that two thirds of our season cos he will be the difference between another 9th placed finish & a VERY good season Link to comment

If only we could be shot of the curly wigged, floppy shoed circus act as our last line I thought Osbourne looked very comfortable once he was put out to right back to deal with Samaras. The hairy Greek didn't have a sniff after that. I'd be very happy with that as a settled back four. Link to comment

ollie1903
Osbourne is the man for RB I think.I agree, and i'd like to see him play there consistently and not be chopped and changed every game or so with Jack. A settled back four could be key to a decent season. Link to comment

Exactly.Just cos Jack is used there at Scotland U21 level doesn't mean that's his position.I want to see him in midfield battling to keep others out of that position, rather than being surplus & used as a RB. Naismith(excuse spelling) Considine, Anderson & Osbourne (with BROWN behind them) is our best back line/defense & that is what should be played until injuries, or suspensions FORCE otherwise. A settled defense that will give the other side of our game a bit of freedom to be creative & be exciting is a huge weapon for us & SHOULD be used as much as possible Link to comment

sooth_stander
Do you guys read papers or even listen to what Craig brown says we will be lucky if we get 1 more player for ffs Well he did kinda change that today post match, he said he would like another player, which sounds a lot more hopeful than what he said after we signed Naysmith, which was we will be lucky to sign another player. fine-n-dandy
Do you guys read papers or even listen to what Craig brown says we will be lucky if we get 1 more player for ffs We also obviously have a wage available for Reynolds, as in the same as we were paying him last season but seen as his team has been promoted & his wage has doubled, his club are wanting a bigger wage by his loan club but we cannot obviously afford that big a wage. But there IS a wage there so we CAN get another player in at some point once the decision on Reynolds has been made one way or the other. That make sense to you? ffs Link to comment
sheepiekev
Do you guys read papers or even listen to what Craig brown says we will be lucky if we get 1 more player for ffs Absolutely. You do wonder about the realism of some on here. For what it's worth, I'd like one of the keepers to go. Ideally Langfield, but that won't happen. If Brown isn't happy at being no.2 and asks to go, I'd let him. We get a small fee as he's contracted, and we get his wage as well.Sign another keeper, demote Langfield to no.2, and the one player wage we have available use it to sign another centre half. Excuse me but Brown himself has said there IS a wage there now for Reynolds like there was last season but problem is that his club want a BIGGER portion of his increased wage paid now compared to last season. So yes there IS fkn cash there for another player & Brown has said as much. If you would listen :banghead: Link to comment

Virgin Don
Think Brown will rotate Osbourne and Jack depending on which Winger/Player is out there... Proved yesterday when Jack started there but then got changed because it was only Samaras out there. Anderson was outstanding and hopefully he will stay fit and forms a solid defence. Link to comment
deco_1985
Anderson was immense yesterday. Also, I thought Naysmith was superb! If those 2 can play week in week out then I think we're in for a good season Link to comment

Geoff_Tipps
I personally think he has already performed better than I was expecting. I was gutted when Russell left although I did wory his return would be a mistake.........thankfully that has not been the case. 1 Link to comment
