Glad to see that Beattie didn't lower himself to going to the huns for more cash Mr B & Surprised that Hearts couldn't afford his wage though & St Johnstone can Hearts must really be cutting back Link to comment

Craig Beattie is a surprise, and one I would have liked at Pittodrie. I watched Saints in the Europa League tie against Eskisehirspor and to be honest I wasn't impressed with either Hasselbaink or Tade, despite the latter scoring in the game. Hasselbaink for all his pace and effort seems to run into defenders. Tade is hard working, but lacks basic control of the ball. I think Saints will have an ok season, but they will be found out defensively this year. McCracken is the obvious weak link and their midfield will seriously miss Jody Morris. Link to comment
