What Was The First Aberdeen Match After You Were Born?

Recommended Posts

I was born 26th August 1975 and I didn't even realise that the premier leagues first ever games were on the Saturday after I was born, pity we lost, and conceded the first ever premier league goal, but great question

I actually got this report from redweb

Saturday 30th August 1975

A new era for Scottish football as the first ever Premier League matches were played. Aberdeen had the misfortune to concede the first goal scored when Dundee's Bobby Ford opened the scoring in two minutes as Aberdeen lost 3-2 at Dens Park before a 6,050 crowd.

A few hours after I was born.

4th April 1978

Aberdeen 2 - 1 Partick

Joey Harper (2)

:bounce:

Snap, unless we played a game between the 31st of March and the 4th of April, which seems a bit unlikely! :sherlock:

Good to see that I have avoided being classified as a jinx under the Bobby Connor system.

Edited for retardedness: we actually drew 2-2 away to Timothy on the 1st of April 1978. Still not a jinx though, thank fuck.
