Phone up the network its locked to and ask for a quote of how much it'll cost to unlock. If it's an unreasonable price, go with the usual, boy down the market.

Anyone know if the market is the cheapest place to get a phone unlocked in Aberdeen? My network provider won't do it as I didn't get it from them. It's an Iphone 4s.

The cheapest way is to do it yourself, its pretty easy.

Usually all you have to do is download the OIS and then add the right jailbreak and unlock package to it via redsnow or ultrasnow and then install the updated OIS via ITunes. Takes about 30-45 minutes to do.

 

If you cant get your head round that though then aye, market or george st. Both will do it for £10-15
