fine-n-dandy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO_-k4TZVq8 For those slating Vernon. Yes he missed two very very good chances. The first was on his left & he kind of scooped it from behind his stride but yes he should have done better & the second, he should have pulled the trigger on his second touch but his first touch wasn't good enough to get it in his stride on the second, so he took a extra one to set it up & that was enough to delay him enough for the Dundee boy to get in a good block at the perfect time. Amateur looking in the one on one but will give him the benefit of the doubt of being tired. However had he been subbed five minutes earlier for Smith, then a fresh Smith (imo) would have taken that chance better. Good dummy for goal & a great wee ball through (on about 45 secs in highlights) Great composed finish from McGinn btw Fraser is fucking awesome Aslo, Dundee's goal was onside Linesman saved Clangers blushes Link to comment
SkyeDon
Don't know if you can totally blame Langfield for the Dundee "goal", I thought it was a decent finish but will have another look. My first thought was that Russell could have done better, I thought he was ball-watching slightly. Link to comment
Liam
About took a heart attack watching the highlights.. Chris Clark actually took a shot at goal? Jocky Scott is working wonders if he is able to get that cunt doing anything that is remotely positive. Link to comment

Agreed Anderson was slow & tried to play it offside & as a result was left in no mans land & was culpable. Clangers though (had the flag not gone up) look how he goes down. Doesn't make himself big in any way & just leaves his near post completely open. I didn't mean it initially in my first post that he was at fault, just that it saved his blushes as in the percentage of shots on him to goals. I hadn't really looked at how he performed as I was more interested to see whether it was onside or not BUT on looking back now I would say he was poor again & had the flag not gone up, we may have found ourselves hanging on to a game that we dominated, much like we did against St Johnstone. He was certainly at fault and would have been culpable if the correct decision had been made regarding the offside. Had he remained on his feet, like any competent keeper would have in the circumstances, it would have been an easy save. What does he do? Sits on his arse, and the shot flies over him.Utterly clueless goalkeeping. As per standard.Nowhere near good enough for this team and where it should be hoping to go. Better watch what I'm saying though. The buffoon will have the cops onto me... Link to comment
barassie_afc
Vernon's first chance should have been battered with his right peg ala RVP yesterday, the last chance was awful. It's a lack of technical ability and the his confidence is at rock bottom, that is obvious also. 1 Link to comment
RUL
Surely Hayes won't get that goal? Seemed a decent game from the highlights Link to comment
ollie1903
Surely Hayes won't get that goal? Seemed a decent game from the highlightsNah, shite game, but a very professional performance. Aberdeen teams of the last few years would have struggled to break that down and resort to getting it from back to front as quickly as possible. There's a strength and resilience about this team now. They stuck to the task and were patient. Link to comment

Agree...The only thing he had to do in the game he made a mess of...as before Clangers will cost us big over the course of the season Link to comment

Sadly this has been a recurring theme for us for years and we've been lucky enough not to be caught out a lot more often Link to comment
