barassie_afc
very good, seems the young man has his head fully screwed on It is here, he indicates, that Alex Ferguson tested the capability of his throwing arm with tea cups. It is here that Brown, sometimes intemperately, forgets all about his seniority and kicks anything that is not stapled to the floor. Whether such temptation will overwhelm the Aberdeen manager on Saturday, when his side entertain Celtic, is a matter for fans' forums and debating societies. Certainly, he seems to be gradually putting those times of physical extravagance behind him as a new generation of players rises from the ashes. He insists that this same dressing room, once allegedly described by former captain Paul Hartley as the worst he had been in, has been cleansed of cliques and insidious divisions. Salaries have been trimmed, egos jettisoned and seasoned professionals called upon to nurture the plethora of enterprising young bloods. The Dons are rebuilding with the sand and cement of Jordon Brown, Cammy Smith, Joe Shaughnessy, Nicky Low, Declan McManus 1 Link to comment
HH_is_back
Good interview. Love how Langfield claims Celtic only had seven shots on target yet he lost 9 goals, therefore he saved the square root of fuck all!!!!! 1 Link to comment
ericblack4boss
Good insight there, i was particularly surprised to hear him speak of McGhee in such glowing terms i thought all players hated him or was it just the Jimmy lovers? Link to comment
Pudgie
"The best thing about life is getting a Domino's on a Tuesday" It must be because he's so bloody small that makes him so down to earth! Link to comment
redtildead88
Comes across as very down to earth and respectful, and obviously has bags of talent. Looked a sore one yesterday, ref obviously played advantage but it was at least a yellow card, dangerous tackle I thought, maybe with the beer goggles I thought it worse than it actually was? Players had such an easy ride under Calderwood, some obviously resented McGhee's tough attitude. But Ryan seems like a boy who will get on with the job no matter who's in charge which I hope is the same for the rest of the youth players. Link to comment

minijc
Heart warming to see an interview like that from a youngster, totally different mindset from the likes of Fyvies and Maguire who thought they made it straight away. Link to comment

Stoneybloke
When/what did Hartley say?Don't think he ever said anything, did he? Nothing about unrest in the dressing room, at least not in any reported interview. Maybe it's in his autobiography, of course. It will probably be serialised in the Daily Record. Link to comment
Redmist1903
This bit's fucking ace: "Well, I'm in the changing room in the morning and all I hear is my name being shouted by Archie [Knox]. I can be anywhere in the club and I hear it, so I need to run my fastest to get their breakfasts. I get stick if I don't. And if I burn the toast, I get made to do it again. Which is pretty much every day." Link to comment
Sheeptastic
Loved that initial response to being asked about his debut. Can just imagine the disappointment on the journalist's face after trying to tweeze out an interesting response from him and being given, "No really. Just got a pizza and went home." Link to comment
a don in oz
More of the same to his interview on RedTV a week or two ago. The kid comes across as a likeable sod who while he is a big of a doofus is serious about his game and wanting to get better. It's a great combination. He doesn't come across as an ostentatious wanker OR the polar opposite and an unprofessional wanker. He really is serious about the Dominos... he loves 2 for Tuesday. Have one that day, one the next. Byrne Baby Byrne
I think this kid is actually gonna make it. Most of our promising youngsters p*ss away their careers in Priory on a Tuesday and Saturday night and end up at Burton Albion. Link to comment

He has the skill but his interviews and demeanor on the pitch (clattered, get straight back up) show he's got the attitude to life to succeed. Just hope we get a few more years out of him with a cup (or a league...?) win or two before he makes a sizable dent in the clubs debt when he leaves. Link to comment
StandFree1982
I can see him signing an extension, he seems fairly down to earth and don't see him wanting to move down south anytime soon. He just sounds like he is happy where he is and comfortable in his position at present. Long may it continue! A lad who is happy with a Dominoes and a bag of chocolate buttons isn't going to be too worried about getting massive wages right now! Link to comment

RUL
multi quote isnt working... it wasnt said with a dry sense of humour, the boys a genuine thicko as for the buckfast comment...that doesnt even make sense! My comment was aimed at your very strange dislike of him saying he enjoys eating chocolate buttons? Did you choke on one of the big buttons when you were younger or something? I was suggesting that with you being a weegie maybe you'd relate to him better if he said he went home and drunk a bottle of bucky.. 14 Link to comment

Many a talented prospect at Aberdeen have went down slippery slope when turn 18. Imagine a bit harder for local lads aswell as they will still be chumming about with mates he always has in Aberdeen and no doubt most of them will start hitting town regularly at 18 (if not already). Easier for lads from down south as away from their old mates most of the time and socialising mainly with other fellow footballers. Just got to hope continues with same attitude and continues progress and ends up making massive dent in our massive debt but his attitude seems spot on. 4 Link to comment
