stand_free
Will Wimbledon fans attend,, if they don't recognise MK Dons as being a team? Head of their supporters group said he wouldn't attend as he vowed never to set foot in the ground. Imagine many feel the same. There was one boy in the same article who had switched allegiances from Wimbledon to MK Dons and didn't want to be named Link to comment
RUL
Interesting stuff on the MK Dons side of things http://www.concreteroundabout.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5655 Link to comment
Dynamo
Most Wimbledon fans are boycotting it I read. Will be a handful of fans there who don't want to 'miss a game all season' or something Link to comment

Will be a handful of fans there who don't want to 'miss a game all season' or something Or equally supporting their own team and hoping they get through. Boycott will probably have a greater effect on their own team. Link to comment

From what I've read they'd rather the game wasn't played and have no interest in the result. Link to comment
Foster14
Well, that is quite a pathetic and childish response. They've already come a long way from where they've started and they get an opportunity to show that they are behind AFC Wimbledon all the way, and don't give a fuck about what has become of MK Dons. I certainly don't see where they could ever get an elitist standpoint over anyone who decides to go along to the game and back their team. Link to comment

Dynamo
Weird, AFC Wimbledon fans should be seeing this as an opportunity to beat the enemy and say GIRFUY That's what I thought, I'd thought they'd be bang up for it. Link to comment
Dynamo
But Simon Wheeler, chairman of the Independent Wimbledon Supporters Association, will not be there to see it.Wheeler told Press Association Sport: "This has reopened a lot of scars."We never wanted this to happen and frankly I feel numb."I won't be going and I know lots of other fans won't be going."Personally I would rather take my girlfriend's mother to the garden centre than go to that game."Other fans will have to take a long look at themselves and make a personal, informed decision. We'll talk to the fans and to the club."We didn't ever want this to happen but it does highlight the phenomenal success of AFC Wimbledon from having had everything ripped out."MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman has described the historic meeting as a "potentially fantastic tie".Meanwhile, AFC Wimbledon chief executive Erik Samuelson has called on Winkelman to drop the word Dons from the MK Dons name."If he offers me his hand, as long as it's got a letter in it saying that they agree that what they did was wrong and that they're going to drop the name Dons, I'll shake it. Otherwise I think we'll just move on," he told Sky Sports News."It's up to them. I think it reminds them and everybody of how they originated. They really don't have much to do with Wimbledon but it's their decision, not mine."I'm not going to agitate for it, I think it would be the better thing to do but that's for them to decide."
