MURRA
just wondering what is more likely to happen in order for a non OF team to win the league in the future? would it be for celtic to fall to everyone elses standard or others to improve and raise their own standard? Link to comment
zander
Think it would take a lot more than just a few players, a league challenging team has to be built over a few seasons. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
Most seasons I would argue that it would take a lot of decent payers added to our current average type teams but this season (with so many teams able to take points from the tims) I think a few teams are only a couple of decent players (& decent injury free luck) away from being good enough to seriously push these cunts close this season but if any of the teams were seriously worrying the tims so far this season, then this Jan window would only show how easily they can just snap their fingers & normality will be resumed. Ke1t
For the scum to leave the league. I'd agree with this. Not only does the Green Filth, and next season the Blue Filth, have massive resources in comparison to the other clubs, the Green filth also has the ludicrous sums of money from playing past the group stages of the CL. Add this to the readily admitted fact that officials in this country deliberately skew critical decisions on the pitch to favour the Green Filth, and next season the Blue Filth, and you have dice loaded against any other club winning the title. I'm an advocate of barring both Filth clubs from playing in Scotland's professional leagues. They cheat, they steal, they belittle and bring shame to Scottish football. Link to comment
spamspamspam
An adventurous manager that could spot a keeper and 2-3m quid to pump into the team. Yon weegies have just won the jackpot though, 30m euro for the last 16. No matter what a club did they'd outspend them to make sure they were in the CL again next season, they cant afford not to. MURRA
so unless they leave the league or a multi multi millionaire takes us over, we are never going to win the league? Link to comment

Tord31
wouldnt take in my opinion. If we were capable of winning our last 10 games on the trot this season we could do it, probably only a frickin awesome striker and keeper away from it, luck with injuries and no bottling big games Link to comment

Ke1t
so unless they leave the league or a multi multi millionaire takes us over, we are never going to win the league? Right now is the best opportunity in years. Celtic are having a great, and lucky, run in Europe which will see them able to strengthen their squad next year. In the meantime they have an incompetent tit for a manager. Anyone with any degree of ability would have Celtic 10 points clear of the pack by now... Lennon is being shown up for what he is. If we, or anyone else wants to win the league, then strengthen a couple of key areas and go for it. Best chance is right now. After this season, back to normal. Link to comment

This is the only season for years & years to come that we would have such a great chance to run them close, if for no other reason than there's only one of them & they don't know how to cope on their own yet. Unfortunately we have a worse than shite keeper & a failing striker & shocking injury luck (or poor training etc.) & a manager that is scared to go for it especially at home & shows teams FAR too much respect (especially celtic). Chance missed Link to comment
DandyDon KD
What it would take for us to win the league is: 1. A better, more attack minded manager (preferably younger) 2. A centre back3. Someone to play up front with McGinn (Vernon and Fallon are hopeless)4. A new goalkeeper5. A young attacking (a powerhouse) centre midfielder (who can score the odd goal) (by young I mean about 24-25)6. A player who can score a free kick, we have been rubbish at free kicks all season cant even get them on target there just wasted (and yes I know that Hayes scored one v dundee this season but it wasnt really a difficult one for the keeper) (this player has got to be good in general play). vanderark14
for a start it would take the rest of the league to stop giving so much respect to those bastards in grey and white hoops Link to comment

vanderark14
Case and point - 17th November 2012, Pittodrie far too much respect is offered to them by most sides in the league. just look at this week, the AFC twitter cunt sucking up their arse after their CL win. fuck them and get in te the cunts Link to comment
vanderark14
for a start it would take the rest of the league to stop giving so much respect to those bastards in grey and white hoops It takes enough consistency over the season against all the teams rather than just one, if we don't win the league this season then that will be the reason. StandFree1982
It would take more points than anyone else in the league, surely? Link to comment
vanderark14
If we don't win the league it'll be because we weren't consistent enough over the piece and not because we didn't beat Celtic. I didn;t say other wise. I said a start would be to stop respecting them so much. Link to comment
