EVERYONE at Celtic would like to send their thoughts and prayers to Barcelona manager, Tito Vilanova, after the announcement that he is to undergo surgery and treatment following a relapse of cancer in the parotid saliva gland.

 

The 44-year-old had a tumour removed from his throat last November when he was the Barcelona assistant manager, but during a recent medical check-up, it was found that the cancer had returned. He will undergo surgery this Thursday.

 

Tito Vilanova took over as Barca boss from Pep Guardiola in April, and his team have enjoyed one of their best starts to the season. They currently lead the Spanish League by nine points, while they
